My homemade rear fold & tumble bucket seats

With my family of 3 in the Jeep theres never enough room for stuff, so I had planned on buying a rampage split fold and tumble rear seat to have the option of having 1 seating postion fold out of thje way for, say a cooler or whatever... but I decided to make my own. I am using 2 rear center seats from a 2003 Ford Explorer.

I've completed one side and I'm starting on the other side...

Here's how I did it.

Yes the cooler fits well !

Very nice!!
I just took out my rear seats and made a storage area but I think my granddaughter would like her own seat.

Nice Job...I like that you can remove one at a time and still have room for some cargo and a 3rd person.

I have to remove the front 2 bolts that they pivot on, but they come out very easily. However I have only found it necessary a few times.

This is a very nice job.

With the seats folded up, have you had any difficulty loading things in the back with the metal supports sticking up?

Generally, I always keep one seat in place, and store things where the other seat is folded up. So I use the floor brackets to secure what ever is there with tie down straps.
