My slow motion 93 Build (ZORV-1122)

My slowly coming along zombie jeep build

Nothing to exciting as we are poor with 2 kids, but I figured I should socument how far along my YJ has come.

Here it is when I first saw it at the shop's lot

It had 218000 miles on the motor but the AX15 had been rebuilt like 1500 miles ago. It ran great and wasbasically stock aside from an old Bestop center console and the brush guard. Cost me $1900.

I'll add more over the weekend til I get to where the YJ sits now.

I basically drove it stock for the first year other than putting the ZORT stickers on and also adding a poly tranny mount to replace the old beaten one. Oh, and I also did a Rustoleum bedliner job on the floor after I pulled the moldy rug an put a metal patch on the driver's side,

Last year is when things started getting interesting. The Jeep got some new CJ style OMIX ADA mirrors , plus a old Grant steering wheel I had laying around. I also added some cheap square off road lights to the bumper.

I bought and installed a Smittybilt SRC rear bumper and a hitch mounted shackle

Then it got some Performance Accessories 1.25 inch Shackles, followed by a set of 31" General Tire Grabber AT2s.

I also replaced the rotted windshield frame with a non rotted used one and bedlined it black as well. I also painted the hinges in bedliner and removed the spare tire mount.

I got some half doors to use in the summer. I purchased a HF farm jack and also built a homemade hood mount for it, following a guideline I found on here.
Also added were some diamond plate rocker covers.

The slave cylinder blew, as did the clutch master, so I replaced the master and had a new clutch installed.

I also made a shorty front bumper out of the stock one.

I spent most of the late Summer/early Fall chasing a fuel problem that came to be caused b an incorrectly wired pump and a dented bottom of tank lol.

For this year, I finally was able to get a real suspension lift for it. The YJ received a RC 4in lift last week and I am happy on how far the Jeep has come on my limited cash.

Installed an old realistic 40 channel cb that was given to me and made a mount on the tire stop with a mirror mount and attached a fire stick 4ft antenna. Still needs to be tuned.
