Okay... I have been wanting to do this forever.... But my CPU hard drive failed on me awhile ago and never got around to getting all of the photos.....UNTIL NOW! I recovered all of my jeep photos from when it was in it's infancy and can post them!:dance: So here is the evolution of my JEEP!
This is the first vehicle of any kind I have ever worked on.... Before this jeep, the most I would do to my cars was fill up the gas tank! LOL... and maybe change the oil every 5k miles!

So this is how I get "her" 18 months ago... Don't be fooled by the photo... I found it on CraigsList...I think the seller wetted the jeep then took a pic of it, made the pain look like it was super shiny.... None-the-less, I thought I got a good deal....91 YJ with 70k miles for a little over 2 stacks...body was in great shape too... just one little dent next to the rear passenger light!

I wasn't a huge fan of the sport style cage... So I had a great idea... to have some bars fabricated at a slight angle... I drew up a diagram, detailing it how I wanted...but when I got it back, it was straight.... I was kind of disappointed, but I figured I would get them re-done later!

Next.... It was time to get rid of the carpet, and freshen up the interior... Al thought the carpet was in decent shape, I was even happier when I ripped it out and didn't see too much rust.... it was only in a couple spots, mainly where the seats wear bolted to the tub.... So I cleaned it up real good, and made a rood trip to Rhino Linings... Got the tub sprayed and a small strip all the way around the outside as well!

:::::::::: Build Update ::::::::::::

It's not that big of a deal, but with my limited knowledge, I'm glad I was able to get it done.... I changed the Throttle Body to the 4.0! My phone died, so I didn't have it to take pictures...

I did run into a little problem... The 4.0 throttle body sensors don't allow you to bolt it directly on... So I had to make a trip to my local hardware store to by security torx bits and change out the sensors.... As soon as I did, everything bolted on fine!

I'm not sure, if my mind is playing tricks on me or not... but it does feel like it has a LITTLE more "get up" and idles a tad bit better... I think the idle fix, may be attributed to having a super clean throttle body in there.

Next on the list... is building an ammo can center console... I will forsure take photos of that process!
