Started my interior project today.....

For the last couple of months I have been patiently been waiting for warmer weather and a good time to get a garage spot so I could start my Herculined interior. Today I started disassembling everything so I can get workin. It isn't much right now but I will post pics as I go.

When I got home from work

This seat really needed a change

Broke the 2 bolts that hold the left rear seat bracket down

And the 2 main ingredients that will help me get through this. I think I may need a few more cans of each though

Other plans in the project include:
Painting dash, seat risers and roll bar semi gloss black
Fixing all of the dash lights and gauges
New sun visors and maybe seat belts
Installing a 3 hole power adapter for any accessories I may use
Get horn working on the new steering wheel
I am sure there is more but I will figure that out as I go

Do you have some pics? I was just going to get my gauges working but I might decide to get all new gauges altogether.

Well here are some updated pics. They aren't much but they will have to do for now.

Everything was going just fine yesterday till I hit this snag. While trying to remove the roll bar all four of the bolts that go into the floor stripped out. After work today I am too tired to mess with it so hopefully I will accomplish something this weekend.

sorry to move in on your action, here's how far i got, one is after about 8 hrs of cleaning, and the next is probably same time primer and paint. i gotta brag, i had to repair nothing on that tub. i found a jeep burried treasure. then the snow came, so i took the body off.

i suck at loading pictures on here, there's got to be a better way than going to photobucket, resizing, then copying url or whatever, takes me like 5 mins. per picture. give me a better way

Hey Dave. When you are on your PBucket upload page, under the upload tag hit options and set for message boards. Pics are automatically resized to
640x480 when uploaded. Then copy direct link into your posts.

when i did mine i had to weld new floor pans in...but then i drilled and installed boat plugs at the low point in the pans to drain out water (or hose outs ) i got those flip open kind instead of the scew tight ones, so its quick and easy. now after a paint job, body lift, fender trim, and tail bob im going to herquline the exterior only the bobbed fenders and down. at the rocker panel, and then the rear tub. no doors-hood or windshield. This will help seal out rust for when i install the rock sliders and etc. Oh, here a sweet little thing i do when unbolting any exterior mounting plate..get some E.P.D.M. rubber from home depot or somewhere and cut to the shape of your bracket like your mirrors or door hinges-hood hinges, and reassemble it with this "gasket" inbetween metal to seal out water from rusting drill holes. everything gets this on my rig.

ok so i will take some pics of the interior as soon as i finish the rear, wich will be about two weeks from now, sorry on the delay, you can catch a glimps if you check out " 4.0 swap from 2.5" maybe i am not sure what is in there but anyway i didn't put on too thick of a layer i didn't want it to be all gritty like my truck bed liner it jstu stained too much.
and those gauges look so freaken tired in my jeep it is so much more visually appealing to get new ones i don't know if i posted the link but here it is, http://classicinstruments.com/ , great selection

oh man, you didn't need to take the whole dash apart piece by piece. it comes out basically modular.

I want to paint everything individually. I had to clean out all of the old mouse nests and all the other mess that was back there. I had no idea the windshield needed to be dropped to get the dash pad off though.

unbolt steering column, remove two phillips screws hold fuse box in, disonnect some connections to heater box, undo antenna wire, speedo cable if present, attaching screws under windshield, and by speakers. whole thing will come out mostly together. when pulled loose, there might be a connector or two holding on to something staying behind, rear harness, or so on. there might be some bolts i'm forgetting right now,but by these pics hopefully you can see how it goes. good luck
