go to napa or ace hardware , homedepot and by a threaded rod-

cut the sizes you need with a hacksaw and reweld new ones in place where the old ones used to be-
clean up the ends for the bolts to slide on easy-
you might have to reweld the plate that holds it if its rusted to bad-
i am going to have to do this in some areas of mine i imagine-

Yup, I did that a couple months back. I asked for a build sheet n they sent it back n told me there were 5 unperformed recalls on my 1992. They included the new cat, the parking brake assembly, a wiring thing a part of the fender or idk what. Everything free n new. Well I had to pay $100 cause I have a flo master n they had to unweld it at a shop.

With that 4" lift you need an SYE-we rebuilt/upgraded a 93 3 years ago. 4" lift, SYE, every bushing replaced, 'newer' frame, custom bumpers, new fenders, windshield frame and glass, all hinges and hardware stainless steel...sold it last year. Wife wouldn't drive it because it was a 5 speed-she prefers my 03 rubicon automatic. Sigh...it did end up nice though!

That's sounds nice man. I've read multiple places you don't.. Everyone says transfer case drop is all you need and that comes with kit. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong

Engine bay complete. Horn and jack was all sandblasted painted and oiled. Hood painted in high temp glossy black. Engine bay now looks great. Rear bumper and undercarriage was painted. Frame/undercarraige got some rubberized undercaoting and rear bumper got patches welded in on right side, primed and then got some rustoleum pro glossy black. Jeep is starting to shape up. Will hollow out cat, put on a flowmaster 40 series and then get the tailpipe from autozone for 23 dollars. Anyone tried the thrush welded mufflers? Any other suggestions for a muffler would be appreciated. The thrush is about 35 and the flowamster is 75, wont spend anymore than 75.

Pics of engine bay before, a couple rough rusty spots and all painted in a crappy blue. Pic of rear rusted bumper and gas skid plate.

Got muffler and tailpipe out. Anyone know how I can replace cat with high flow one that I can just bolt in with clamps and have it be sealed nice and tight or is welding it in the only option? Is the cat 2.25 diameter on both sides? Is the whole system just 2.25 tubing?

Got muffler and tailpipe out. Ordered tailpipe and thrush welded muffler from autozone alOng with clamps, total was $70. Looks like I sprung a leak in one of the rear brake lines, will redo all lines after lift kit is installed. I hate working with hard lines, any suggestions for any other options?

Okay got the 4" RC Lift installed and the thrush welded muffler and walker tailpipe. Still need to do the pitman arm drop and tcase drop. Im not very happy with the muffler its not loud as i had thought it would be. Its only a little more loud than stock. Here are a couple pics. Now I need to start body work, interior work(rug/seat covers/cb radio etc). Gonna order 6 incher tag fender flares from ebay also need to get a rug. Any ideas on some good seat covers for a decent price?

Gotta do brake lines, power steering lines, and all other maintenance, tune up etc etc. need suggestions for tires and wheels that will look good with the 4" RC lift and the 6 inch tag fender flares. Also some color ideas for jeep... Im thinking either burnt orange or a gunmetal grey/silverish color... Im open to any other ideas to make the jeep look good. Im almost done with the boring stuff and can get on with the fun mods.

Okay so new thrush welded muffler is not loud enough for me, hell it sounds like stock. Gonna get me some 2.25 inch pipe and put it in it's place. Gonna do pitman arm drop tonight, anyone know the exact size for that very large bolt holding it on?

I would atleast go with 33x12.50 tires with the flares your putting on. And I think the burnt orange would look killer. Some nice black rims. looking good.

Busy Day. Got Drop Pitman arm installed, New brake lines in the rear, painted front winch bumper, did a couple coats of bondo, removed thrush welded and put in a flex pipe (sounds wayy better). Ordered a power steering line cuz mine busted.

Spent $50 today

Need to finish body work and get car in primer, Finish grinding and sanding frame then undercoat it. Order front sway bar clamps. And I gotta do the tcase drop and get new metal welded in with flange nuts. Will get some pics tomorrow of body work progress.

Need help with paint ideas, Im torn between these two...

Interior is gonna be all black, and if I go silver im gonna do red shock boots and red diff covers. If i go orange im gonna go blue shock boots and orange i think dif covers.

Okay so got new tailpipe all together, had to cut off and move/reweld hanger. Put in 2 new power steering lines $20 a piece. Replaced rusted fender braces with some "new" ones. $10. Replaced rear brake lines. Finally got to take it out for a ride and suspension is much stiffer than before. Makes for a very very rough ride. There is also a lot of bump steer... Any ideas? What are the benefits and negatives for removing track bars? Also what do you guys think about the steering stabilizer from rough country, they say its recommended with the lift..? Also in the market for some rear bump stops if anyone has some extras just laying around.
