Hoping to get fender flares in the mail tomorrow along with hood kit. Ever since i replaced power steering lines theres a loud grinding noise. Does the ps system need bleeding? If so how do i go about doing it? Also i got a leak coming from the top of gearbox where there are 4 bolts. Its leaking from the front of car side and on the top, in between the two bolts. i feel like it might be a bad gasket (square one)...? Maybe need some of your guys expertise. Its at an awkward spot to get a picture of.
looks good man, must have been walking around pretty lightly to keep the dust down.
Thanks, I had hosed it all down before laying down the primer but after that I honestly didnt even worry about it( the driveway is a mix of sand and rocks and down there its pretty much compacted)The only thing that kept pissin me off was that occasionally the damn nats would land on it and get stuck in the paint lol
Im thinking im gonna hit it with some 1500 or 2000 grit wet sandpaper and a spray bottle and then try and borrow or buy a polisher. Then some wax and im thinking itll shine up pretty nice
I helped my dad paint his datsun in our backyard and same thing, tons of random bugs would land on it, or we'd get dog hair in it. We did 2 coats, then a final coat in the garage after wet sanding it with 1800. Just remember, only you know where the imperfections are unless you point them out
Found these at the junk yard today. Will they work? I though i had banjo bolts on my jeep (93). These are russell lines and i think it was a 89 i pulled them off of. Other pic is of the lines going into caliper on mine
Knew the transmission crossmember to frame bolts were all rusted out and the crossmember was already loose before leaving. On the ride home about 20 miles from my house, i felt 2nd gear move back about 5 inches and i knew the crossmember had fell imediately. Pulled over and called AAA. Got it flatbeded home. On the ride home the passenger side bolts that secure crossmember to frame decided to break as well and well now, it sits in driveway all f'ed up. Crossmember is completly loose except one bolt that connects it to tranny in the middle. I threw a jack under it after taking these pics. Before i had left i had it appraised from a local shop to have channels bent and welded onto frame with holes drilled in it with nuts welded in for crossmember bolts. They would install the tcase drop while doing it as well because i never installed it. They said for the fabrication and welding itd cost me 300-450. You guys think thats a good price? If i had a better welder id do it myself but i dont trust my little self fluxing one nor do i have anything to bend the 1/8 inch steel. Also since this happened, is there anything else i should be checkng that i might have broke? When i pulled over it was still driveable(only the 3 bolts on drivers side pf crossmember had broke off) but then after taking the bumps on the flatbed ride home the passenger side ripped off and now the rear driveshaft is just hanging. Im kinda clueless when it comes to driveshafts, ujoints and tranny stuff...
