Ugly dash

Anyone have any nifty and thrifty ideas how to cover the underside of a yj dash to hide all the unsightly wires

No problem! It's real easy. Take the top off. Go wheeling through lots of mud, and don't skimp on the mud. Don't wash it when done wheeling. You'll either have so much mud that you can't see the wires or there'll be so much mud no one will notice the wires. Either way, win, win!

It's the way AMC/Chrysler built them. Crap right from the assembly line. As long as all the wires are doing what they are supposed to do, live with it.

All joking aside, I don't have wires hanging down under my dash. What wires are you referring to? Pictures?

I removed the dash and did a wire tuck from the top so you can't see much under, also you can make some trim panels and cover them if you are feelin crafty. Both ways do good job.

I was lucky my jeeps compressor and condenser were removed and I live in Florida. So I just ripped out all the cable systems for heat and air

And it is! But I'm sure that isn't the solution the OP was looking for.
