Awesome dude. I'll probably be buying my radiator from those guys. Novak's is just ridiculous. They're a great place to call/email for awesome information, but ALL of their crap seems to be way overpriced in comparison.

Baught myself a 14inch chop saw so i co.uld start building my wishbone set up. made some progress but i couldnt finish because i do not have the tools to make the proper notchs in the tube so they fit perfectly flush.
tacked it without being finished just to see how it fit

just hanging in there because one of the leaf spring perchs are getting in the way

got the leaf spring perch i fabbed up a while back off. i welded the hell out of that thing so it took like 2 hours to get off, went through 10cutting wheels and 2 grinding wheels. the approx angles of how the linkages are going to sit.

got the wishbone design done. ive been in the process of trying to use stock crossmember but there is soo much trimming needed that im assuming its going to be a lot weaker that i want it to be.
This is be4 the spatter was grinded off the welds

decided to make a skid plate for it so that it doesnt get hung up on rocks

Ive noticed a lot more people followed my axle swap thread over this. i guess a drivetrain is nbd anymore. there will always be questions so feel free to ask me.
Today my boss told me not to come into work today so i got somestuff done on the jeep today. the suspension is ready to be welded on after a little grinding and prepping. I took the steering pump out so that i could get a hose made. i put the drivers side header on and didnt do passenger side because with the stupid dip stick its a pain in the butt and it causes the header to hit battery box. I welded up the cross brace. welded the lower control arms completely. centered the axle and steering and cut old leaf spring perchs off
took front of motor off because the pulley wouldnt come off

all welded up and u can see the wishbone link mocked up

welding links

link up against with the bracket to make it stronger so its not dirrectly to chassis

and it was too dark to take pctures of exhaust and stuff

So i have the suspension done.
welding tabs on outside of truck

Final mock up

Didnt use a spacer when i did final welds so i had to show the tabs some bottle jack love to get the hiems in place

had enough gas left to cut the fenders so that i can take my stupid body lift off

I was kind of unhappy with the amount of suspension travel that i was getting, only appeared to be like 8 inchs of down travel which i think i had with my leaf springs. I baught these huges springs for the reason of a lot of suspension travel and i am kind of unhappy with it. I also get about a half inch of body roll when i turn the wheel each way before the wheels actually move. im not sure if thats because there isnt sway bars or shocks or if im going to need a trac bar and wishbone didnt work out properly

got the motor done up pretty good. They had a problem with the 02 sensors of my harness so i need to wait till next week sometime for the harness to be done. the spark plugs are done, the coil packs filters oil and all the goodies are done. im gonna bring the truck down to the exhaust shop next week sometime to get the exhaust all custom mandrill bent. ALso got steering pump all finished and the front of the motor back together. I lost my star so i need to buy a new one so that i can adjust the tensionar and get the belt back on. I have all 3/4 bolts on the wishbone and i am using 5/8 bolts for the lower control arms.
Good reason the motor wouldnt run

been getting a lot done
first flex in a tight spot

cast alum is annoying

being able to tig weld is awesome

grill hitting

it was dumb of me to mock this up when i had body lift in so now it hits

cut

after this point i gave it one tug and the truck came right out and took a junk of the garage with it, oops

this is a general idea of what the truck will look like
