Yj 5.3 Overhaul.

And so it begins. This is my hopefully be done in 4 months build. As I have a brother coming from about 1200 miles away to do some wheeling in the Black Hills of South Dakota. These are pics of before I fixed all the rust.

Wish I had a nice clean white-room to do my mods in...

I get a half a Garage, and an open tool box drawer for a workbench (well, till my 8.8 is off my home brew workbench....

Yeah I added on to my garage a few years ago. Was 24x24. Now is 52x24 and is still not big enough. But that's as big as I could go. It's split in two the side I do my work on is 28x24. And I did it with drywall and painted it whits so it's bright when I'm in there. Then put 6 double 6ft fluorescent lights figured do it once and do it right.

It's never a budget build or will you ever have as much pride in something if ya just buy all the parts. And guessing that trans crossmember should hold. Over build once not rebuild.

To do the whole swap is not a bad job at all. Although I still have wiring left to figure out when motor is out back in but hopefully it won't be to bad.

Wires wires everywhere. I am planning on running all the wires off the jeeps factory fuse box to keep the factory look rather then another set of fuses and relays. This will be a little more work but to me in the long run will be a lot cleaner.

Well last night was the night fired the motor for the first time. Man I glad I got to that part seemed like forever. Now a few more odds and ends in the wiring. New guages will be here tomorrow and then install them. Build an exhaust and skid plate and put it all back together.
