sounds like a plan..we're going to need a video off the first start up of this beast

Without a doubt, that's the cleanest 5 I've seen in a LONG time. You've done an amazing job and should be proud of your work. Thanks for the build thread, and keep the pics coming!

Thank you so much for the kind words!

I will most definitely be making a video of the first startup.

Your dad looks so thrilled in the background...lmao

That's looking so awesome with the new wheels and tires on there...how'd you like the 10 hours of polishing?

Now you're just about ready to go flog the old girl offroad, right?

I'd hate to be that rear passenger......you'd have to be a contortionist to get back there!!

Your rig looks awesome, man. If I had 3 thumbs, I'd give you "3 thumbs up".....

Really nice work! That extended roll cage gives it such a distinct look. This is definitely something you don't see every day. I really dig that shift boot, too. It's so simple and clean.

Update:

Literally nothing has happened with the Jeep since my last update. Still waiting on the engine builder to get space at his shop for it. I went and talked to him yesterday, and he said to plan to move it the beginning of next week.

Major bummer....But it's been raining here in Ohio for the past two weeks...And it's going to rain the rest of the week. So it's not like I would want to drive it anyways.

But I'll be sure to keep my threads up to date!

great work start to finish, big fan of doing everything the right way instead of the right-a-way way. Helps to have a solid set of friends, family, and tools. Great work!

Sorry about the lack of updates....Not a whole lot has happened....

The Jeep has been dropped off at our engine builder's place, it sat for a week, he took it apart, fixed the leak, put everything back together, and now it leaks at the water pump....

So now we're waiting for a water pump gasket....

Thank, dude.

It's really frustrating to have super nice days (like today) between all of the stupid rain storms and not being able to drive the Jeep....

I'm new to this forum stuff and not sure if this is the correct place for oil filter questions. Has anyone had a problem with their oil filter getting stuck? We just bought a '94 Wrangler with a 4 banger. Tried to change the oil and the filter will not budge.

um deff not the place to ask that but to answer your question try an oil filter wrench..give you a better grip on it, if not take it to a shop and let them remove it...

hazzo, i feel you on that..but by the time you get it done it will be fully summer ;] youve got plenty of time to enjoy that beast ;]

Any plans on doing a Howell throttle body?

Also just my personal opinion I think blue aux lights would fit the jeep better than yellow, with the colors you got going on...

You're definitely in the wrong place. lol

Follow Wrangler06's advice...You can also try the screwdriver method.

I would have to disagree....Plus blue lighting is illegal in Ohio...

I stopped by the shop last night after work, and I was told that they have the gasket and it should be installed in a day or two.

He also asked if we were ready to fire the engine....So it's starting to look like I'll be cruising in the CJ this weekend.
