You have inspired me to paint my jeep OD. My old YJ had the same color scheme. It had the sahara green but it was faded just enough to look OD, with the tan top, thats what I want!
How hard was it to paint all of it and about how many can's and coats did you do?
Any clear coat?

Wasnt hard at all. I did a section at a time as I had the time. Two coats. Scuffed up the original red and wiped it down with, cant remember the name of the stuff atm. Ill post it later. Anyway, took about eleven cans of Krylon Fusion olive camoflague. No clear coat. I keep extra on hand for touch up. So far holding up good even when power washed.

Quick question Gus. I just bought my first Wrangler a 99 TJ. It's prob a dumb question but the top rolls back but does it completely come off like the hard top?

You can remove the whole soft top. First fold it back like normal then remove the two screws in the top's frame located right behind the front seats at the downward part of the roll bars. Pull the whole top backwards frame and all. A tip...use some large zip ties or equivalent around the folded top before you take it off to keep it from opening after removal.

No problem. Its just two small phillips screws holding the plastic piece at the end of the frame into a sleeve. Easy.
