'08 Wrangler w/broken license plate bracket. Big Deal or not??

Hey:

I was set on buying a 2011, but I've found a few good looking 07/08 Jeep Wranglers.

I found a 2008 with low miles, power windows/locks, and hard top. There are no dings, dents, etc on the vehicle. It's a one owner jeep with a clean autocheck report. I haven't seen it in person yet because it's 75 miles away.

Issue: The salesperson said the only issue is a broken license plate bracket. Attached are a few pictures. Would this concern you enough to walk away?

Thanks,
J

Good heavens no! Just take it off, put some furniture pads on the back of the plate and drill two holes in the plate and mount it on the tub in the existing holes....

Or, let me know and I'll do that and sell you ours...

That was cut, not broken. I have no idea why though. No big deal. That corner looks way to good to have been wheeled very hard. Worst case scenario you buy a new bracket and bolt her on. Or you do something like inferno girl suggested. Good luck with your new jeep.

that wouldnt concern me at all.
frame, tranny, engine, would be my concerns.
if it all checks out and the price is right, id say go for it.

I wouldn't worry about it. I bet if you ask, the dealer will even replace it for you if it means selling it.

I agree.. this should be an easy (courtesy) repair for a Jeep Dealership.
