Awesome guys.. THANKS

just ordered a AEV tire carrier.,

What are y'all's thoughts on Rigid industries D2 as a back up light.? Trying to put that on the AEV tire post... I really have to check my state laws if it's allowed to have a BRIGHT back up light..

I'm running Nitto Terra Grapplers. I think they're pretty damn quiet.

I may put on a 2.5" lift, but I'm a little worried it'll end up sitting too high and look funky since I don't any aftermarket bumpers or bigger tires yet. So far I've put on a 13" antennaX stubby, removed the rear seat, and added a mopar cargo mat to protect the cargo area (as much as I can lol) from my yellow lab's fur.
Congratulations! Nice to see a Willys in granite...I have only seen them in Dune so far

Tomorrow afternoon is the big day! Can't wait! Right now I am kicking myself for not getting the tow hitch. I have a carrier I could throw on the hitch and load the tires on. Gonna have to test my tetris skills tonight to see if it is possible to fit 4 37" tires in the back of a JKU

Now I can officially join all of you! The Jeep arrived at the dealership late last night.

I was very surprised to get a call from my dealer this morning since my Jeep was supposed to be delivered to AEV for my Lift, Wheels, Tires, Tire Carrier, & Backup Camera!?... Gonna have to sort that out on Monday...

I may just drive it up to AEV since they are only 2 hours away. I would have loved to pick it up completed... But things must happen for a reason. hopefully AEV can do the lift and tires in one day, then I can save the shipping and time without the Jeep.

Anyway, pretty stoked! It's pretty cool to drive off the lot in the Jeep you built.

My dealership has never had a granite or RubiX on their lot and I have never seen one in my area... It will be pretty unique around here for a while. That's pretty cool in itself.

I will post mods as they happen. I have a lot of great ideas and advice from this thread and forum.

Thanks to everyone-

Cheers!

Very Cool BCT! Definitely will be watching for the progress pics and updates. Really kicking so many options around! I am so undecided as to how high, what tires, wheels, etc.etc. I just purchased the lifetime warranty so gotta replenish the Jeep account before doing anything else.

Hey BCT, I don't know how much you remember but the same thing happened to me, problem being I'm in California. The dealer made me order another Jeep from scratch. Very cool if you can just drive it to AEV, but remember they have a cue of Jeeps waiting to be built. Mine waited in their lot for 3 weeks, then the actual build took two days and the final inspection another day and a half. Best of luck!!

Well my plans sort of changed... Slightly.

My Jeep was supposed to have been delivered to AEV today... but it showed up at my dealer late last night.

It's not all bad... I got the call first thing this morning from my sales guy (I was happy and Pist -off at the same time) So I stopped up to check it out.

- What an awesome vehicle! The RubiX looks great "stock" in person... Pictures do not do the vehicle justice. So I took delivery and am very happy!

I need to work out a few details with AEV on Monday morning, but I think things will work out just fine.

My plans are as follows...
-Maximus Bull Bar for Front bumper
-Updated headlights and Smoked LED tail lights
-Sill guards for the entry points.

AEV Setup... This is what I have setup with them---
2.5 Lift with Geo Brackets, Procal etc.
Black Savegre Wheels
35" BFG Km2s
Rear Tire Carrier with 3rd Brake Light
Rear Backup Camera.

I will probably drive the Jeep up to AEV for the upfit since their only 2.5 hours away. I hope they can schedule to do the upfit in one day so I don't have to run up there twice. I would love to run up early one morning and see the whole thing... That remains to be seen...

But right now I'm perfectly happy with the Jeep and the whole process. My dealer was great to deal with and I actually received it 2 weeks before they thought I would...

Yes the AEV thing got messed up... But I decided on that curve-ball about 3 weeks ago and the Jeep was already ordered and in process.

AEV contacted my dealer to get the drop ship code changed... And it was... but - (no guarantees) I knew that possibly the shipping would get messed up and I was informed of that.

I wished it didn't, but no fault of my dealer or AEV. They both said it is possible that the shipping will get messed up since everything was already automated.

Bottom Line is I'm real happy with the vehicle. And I t looks a lot more awesome than the pictures show.

I will probably save AEV shipping and I will keep my Rubi take off wheels so I can sell them.

Yea... I remember your issues.

I have been in touch with them and it's my understanding... That since I'm paying separate for the upfit and not financing... Iam already on their job board. I sent them my deposit and they got me in the system 2 weeks ago. They said by the time my Jeep arrives it would probably get done pretty quick. I actually planned on taking delivery at AEV to save the shipping anyway.

Now I plan to call them and hopefully this is the case, and I can find out when they need it, and I can run up there for the day.

Don't get me wrong...I really want it done right and inspected... But 2.5 days to install lift, wheels and tires sounds a bit much, but we will see.

I really like their product. The one I test drove was awesome and really sold me.

In a perfect world this would probably work...
Hopefully the stars align for me!

Thanks for keeping up with me... It's nice to actually have a Jeep now! It's a real nice "stock" setup.

I will keep you posted-

Thanks!

I'm considering the fuel anza wheels. Does anyone know how the anthracite meshes with the granite? Don't want it to clash! Anyone have this combo?

I hope schedule goes as promised. I paid all cash, no financing too. It still took 3-3.5 weeks before they started. I can see how mine took longer with full interior badging, backup light and rear vision wiring, bumpers, etc. good luck and keep us posted. I'll be curious how the stock ride compares.

SP! You've left us hanging since the weekend! What's the lift and wheels status? Are you too busy crushing small imports or what? Hope it went well and that you're loving the elevated status of your rig.

HAHA, thanks for checking in NorCal! Unfortunately the guy helping with my lift had something come up on Sunday and we couldn't do it.
So this coming Sunday will be the big day. Gonna start at it early Sunday morning so I am hoping to have lots of pics by Sunday night if all goes well.

I loaded 4 of the 37's in the back of the Jeep with the 8 boxes of lift. It was a tight squeeze. Unfortunately I loaded them Saturday night and later found out he couldn't do it and had to unload them . At least I know they will fit!

EDIT: Hopefully I will be out crushing small import cars next week!

Hmm I may have to check this thing out. Did you install the fenders yourself?
