NICE! Gonna look great. Did you decide on the lift yet?
yessir! A lot of back and forth, research, etc...exhausting really... lol.
Teraflex 2.5", fox 2.0 ifp shocks, fox ats steering stabilizer, TF monster adj front track bar...maybe a few other small goodies, but that's the gist of it... gonna be sweet!
[/SIGPIC]ordered JKUR 'X' granite crystal, remote start, max tow, A/C temp control and filtering, 730n, engine block heater, dual top. Ordered 9/12, received 11/6.
Mopar stage 3 3" lift, Warn Zeon 10s winch, dual optima red tops and rigid industries lights will top it off till new wheels and tires when stock ones wear.
I've been looking at that bumper in Aluminum. How do you like it? Fit and finish? I'm just skeptical with the "made in China" thing
The finish is high quality. Textured powder coating. The fit is great. The only big surprise that I had to pull the grill up and out to get the winch plate set it in behind the frame flanges. Of course getting some of the nuts started on the bolts would help if I had much smaller hands. The winch install was very easy. I did have a fit issue. The winch motor was hitting the over rider bar of the bumper and would not allow the winch mounting holes to align with the mounting holes in the winch plate. I drilled four new holes in the winch plate exactly 1 inch to the drivers side and she mounted right up. Hope this helps anyone looking at this bumper.
Thanks SP. Now you got me wanting 37s instead of 35s. Your Jeep is a BEAST!
Haha! Thanks man. I love them and they drive awesome. I was looking at my Jeep yesterday and started thinking 38's sure would look nice. No, I am really happy with the 37's and have no plans on going any bigger in the near future. I was pleasantly surprised that both of my girls can climb in the Jeep on their own. One of them is just tall enough to reach the door handle and can open it on her own.
I think I got somewhere around 14.7 MPG on my first tank of gas with the 37's. That was probably 80% city driving.

Very nice man, great ride! Glad the fam likes it too, that makes it all worth while!
I'm super excited, I just ordered a 2014 JKU Rubicon in the only color worth buying - Granite Crystal Metallic! I'm super excited, it's my first Jeep purchase (my folks owned a Grand Cherokee when I was in high school, but that was a lifetime ago). I don't know how I'm going to hold up with the wait, but I intend to! Here's how I specced her out:
2014 JKU Rubicon in Granite Crystal Metallic
Dark Saddle Leather Interior
Uconnect 130 radio - I was going to go aftermarket with a radio but I've been reading a thread regarding RBZ radio replacement with the connectivity group and I think I'm going to go that route.
6 speed manual transmission
Air Conditioning with ATC
Dual top Group
Body-color Hard top
Body-color Fender Flares
Engine block heater
Max tow Package
the aforementioned Connectivity group
I think that covers it. Man I'm excited. Looking through the forums, this looks like a great community, and I'm glad to be here! Jeep on!
Dang! Sorry to hear that guys. I bet Granite will be available on the 2015's, but you probably don't want to wait that long. Maybe try to find one on a dealer lot?
Patrick said that granite had been a strong seller and he expected it to make a comeback in 2015, but they did close it for this year. I wonder if they'll hold it for late release again like they did this year...
