2014 jku dune with 33" duratracs & 15" mb tko chaos center caps

Hello.....Just wanted to share with everyone the new shoes on my 2014 i got today. gotta say did a lot of debating on what i wanted and thanks to all the postings and info i got from here i made my purchase at Discount Tires and bgot a $200 rebate on the tires and a $60 rebate for being military..

went with (5) 33"x12.5"x15 Goodyear DuraTracs and 15" MB TKO with Chaos center caps. I think those center caps look much better then the original ones that come with them. i got for free as well.
Next I am getting the front windows tinted and probably some N-Fab step bars, I think those look pretty good.

Was really debating on a leveling kit but don't think I will. The 33's fit in there perfectly and no rubbing what so ever. The spacing between tire and Jeep is just right for me and not sure I want to level it out and have too much space in there, seen a couple with 33's and seemed to me the tires weren't looking as meaty, but thats just me.

Take a look let me know what you all think...

Super easy, did it in my garage, it was like 40 outside, that's cold for us here in Texas used an old hairdryer to cure them. As far as durability, I'm not sure haven't had them done very long, but the stuff is great, super easy to work with and very forgiving! Heck you don't even have to take anything off because the overspray just peeks off! Next will be lights, looking at LED light bars....

Looks great! Can you post what the wheel back spacing is? Any clearance issues with the brake calipers?

Thanks....
15x8 -19mm offset 33x12.50R15 Duratrac

So if my math is correct would be 3.75" backspacing..

No issues with anything. No rubbing even when cranking the wheel completely. Really smooth ride can't hear any noise honestly they sound like the stock tires was really impressed. No issues with anything.

I was first debating between these and going with the 285/75-16 with 16 MB TKOs.
Discount told me this:
But I that ZERO rubbing!!

Both combinations work on an all stock JK. The tires on the 15" combination though are going to rub the front plastic valence when near full steering wheel lock. Most people just cut the section where the tires rub or level/lift the vehicle. As far as 15" vs 16" goes, there are minimal differences between the two. The tires on the 15" package will have a wider foot print and more sidewall height which is what guys are looking for when aired down off-road. The 33x12.50-15 will have just over 1/2" more sidewall height and just over 1.5" more section width when compared to the 285/75-16 size. The added sidewall height though can make the vehicle have a little more body roll. The difference is pretty minimal though and your typical driver won't notice the difference. The main reason I see people going to the 15" package is to save money on the cost of replacement tires and to save a little bit of weight when compared to a 16" package of equal tire size. In this case the 15" package is only 2 lbs lighter when compared to the 16" package.

You did very good. I like the look. Leveling kit would look good as well but I wouldn't lift because then you are faced with too much wheel well and not enough tire.

I agree! I seen them with this set up and just didn't look right, need to go bigger. For now I will leave it and move on to looking at some steps. Looking at the N Fab make easier for the wife to get into the JKU.
Want some Trekarmor seat covers but not cheap either.

Looks great! Were you able to use your stock bump stops with the spare? I have the same size tire/wheel package coming on Monday (Level 8 Tracker) but was uncertain if I needed to order the Daystar extended bump stops.

Awesome Jeep!

Sure Did! I was expecting to pay for the caps too, so that is always a plus. That is good to here about no rubbing issues since im still stock. I ordered these wheels last night and ups is saying they will get here by tomorrow night! Holy chit now that is service. Hopefully this snow storm that we are going to get does not delay them!

Yup NO rubbing that I can see.. Should be correct 3.75 backspacing. They do stick out a little but it's a smooth ride man.

Everyone was saying they will rub but again I haven't experienced that but haven't put too many miles yet on them but from driving around town it has been great.

Yup all stock. They put the spare right on no additional bump stop needed.

What is the "true" measurement installed, top to bottom for the 33x12.5r15 with Duratracs?
Thank you in advance. Trying to decide on tire size.

I have the 33/12.5/15 duractracs on 15/8 trackers with -19 offset and I need new bump stops for the spare. But everyone I talked to said they are not necessary because the weight of that combo isn't any more than stock. I took it out on a trail without stop and it didn't seem to bang around. Eventually I'll order a set of daystars just as insurance.

Hey Czechracing! Do you have a lift in those pics or is it stock. Did it cost extra for the Chaos center caps?

Nope all stock!! Didn't want to mess with a lift and just wanted some meaty tires so went with 33's and they fit perfectly with not lift needed. No rubbing either, actually just got back from Winchester Bay on the sand dunes and got them rotated.
The center caps were free. When I purchased the set I asked the sells guy to swap out the center caps and he did no additional cost. Just be specific so they can annotated when they place your order and you can get the same center caps.
