So being a newbie, 1.5" spacers put on wheel before remounting? Do they loosen up?

I'm in a similar boat. Not that I don't like the duratracs but id like more aggressive but also still quite. Which I know is probably extremely needy but I'm to cheap to do what it requires to rub 35's but still want a "jeep" look that I can drive everyday.

i wanted 35s as well, but im not looking to lift. 33's are ideal for this particular look.

Wheel spacers get bolted onto hubs, then wheel goes on. Installed properly there is no reason they should loosen.

Looks like a lot of people are running 285/70R17 .. The wheels I'm looking to get are 18s and I don't believe the duratracs run in that size ..

Is anyone running 295/65R18 with no lift that they have pics of?

I just got those rims with the rim protectors. I had them powder coated to color match truck. Also Kelly tires that are 285/70/17 (33") LOVE IT.

Pages of discussion on fit in this thread:
Largest tire on stock JK? Here's your answer!

I looked at 285/70r17 without lift but will be wheeling the jeep with swaybar disconnected and not really wanting to worry about rubbing on the trail. Sure someone gets away with it stock height around town, but more folks than not seem to report rubbing once they run it for awhile. So waiting to upsize until I can install a moderate lift with new coils and shocks. Until then, stock-size 255/75r17 Duratracs made my growly old cupped KM's go away...

17x8.5 with 4.5 backspacing. Unsure of the weight difference.

i've heard for years that spacers are not good to have... not sure how true that is but i've always tend to stay away from them.

A little off topic. BUT are those the rugged ridge stubby end caps? If so how do you like them?
