It is indeed my local Discount Tire.

Good stuff. My only problem is Black Rock actually sent one wrong wheel--the box said it was 5x5 but the wheel itself clearly was not. So I've still got my factory spare. Not for long though . . .

It's got about an inch and a half of lift now, but yep, there's a 2.5" TeraFlex coil lift sitting in my kitchen. Djstorm and ESP are my lift install buddies, but my schedule (and I'm sure there's) doesn't really favor an install over the next few holiday weeks. Soon. (Drool drool . . .)

thanks all. It's been quite a process.

I'm very impressed w/ the tires, but I was hoping to get a little bit of lift than what I ended up with. I'll have to crawl under to the diff later, but I'm guessing at the most I got maybe .5" if anything.

So I'm off tomorrow and plan on putting my ups delivery of happiness on. Just wanted to get a 100% warm and fuzzy jeep wave that I can bolt the 'package' on my 08 stock JKU with stock bumper and without a lift and won't have to cut anything. I get my lift on Mon am.

I would advise against using the stock jack for putting your lift on. Ask MTH how that went with his install.

Sucked. Took twice as long and was three times as dangerous. Lowes or Home Depot will sell you a floor jack for $50 or so that'll make life much easier.

Also you need two adj jack stands to support your Jeep from both sides of the frame once lifted.

Just make sure the floor jack you buy will go high enough.

I'm not putting the lift on, I am sending it to a jeep customization place near my place. I can't do it. What about the stock jack for just replacing the wheels ?

Meh, it's okay. If you've got a flat surface you can indeed change a tire. It just sucks is all. ESP and I bent mine putting my lift on. I threw it out and put a bottle hack in its place.

If you have costco card go get a Arcan jack for 100 bucks. ESP knows which one I'm talking about, the big red jack I had. Or you can go to harbour freight and get the one with the adjustable pedestal. Before you say anything about HF they do have some great tools for the money. I've had this jack for 2 years and I use them quite often. It was my go to jack for when I do mobile mechanic work. Toss it in the back of the truck and sometimes it would get rained/snow on and still works like a charm. Go to Garagejournal.com for info on tools. Its like jeep forum but for tools, shops, man caves, garages. AWESOME SITE!

Arcan jack - Northeren tools has them as well for 150. Its heavy but a fast pumper and slow let down. I LOVE mine. Arcan Quick Lift Professional Service Jack

HR jack - they don't carry my model any more but I've read some great reviews on these 23 inches max height Low Profile Floor Jack - 2 Ton, Rapid Pump® Jack

If you use a piece of wood on the frame rail to jack it up and then place the jack under the frame. Then jack under the diff to take the tires off and lower. The rear end will NOT hit the ground

also if you only have 2 stand Please put the jeep in reverse with the parking brake on. Keep the jeep somewhat level if possible. I like to use 4 (whats another 40 bucks for stands) to put under the axle housing so the weight of the jeep will relocate the bushing so you don't get bushing bind in the control arms.

You should be happy about that. Uncle Sam was doing you a favor by taking you out of the 1% and making you a part of the 99%.

I've heard this in other posts on home lift installs. How tall do the stands need to be to get the coils on/off?

Also, thanks for the tip, DJstorm on the wood to get a bit higher, that thought never occurred to me. This is good stuff as I am sure Santa will be leaving a few lift kits under some WF member's trees this season. Maybe a "lift tips and tricks" thread is worth starting on this topic. It would probably be better reading than the half dozen broken speed sensor/brake lines cuz I dropped my axle too low threads that are coming...
