That's what I figured. Sorry for the slight delay on that!

New Chaos 5 and 33" Duratracs

Just got my MB Chaos 5s installed on the Goodyear Duratracs. I am so thankful for this forum and all your posts. The guys at the discount tire near my house didnt think it would fit. If it wasnt for this post I would of spent a whole lot more on larger rims/tires.

No lift yet but will be doing the 2.5 teraflex. Plenty of clearance for the 33s even with no lift. Have not had any rub yet but I also have not taken it off road.

Thank you discount tire and forum members!!!

Did you adjust your speedo ESP? After I got my 33s installed I used the GPS in my iPhone to check my speed and was surprised to see that it was perfectly accurate. I never bothered to check it on the stock 32s, but I can only assume it must have been off then. Perhaps the factory calibrates the BFGs as "32 inches," which they of course are not, such that my new 33s are actually closer to the calibrated number.

No I did not adjust after putting mine on but I went from 255/75/17 to 33x12.5R15 or 32.1 to 32.5 and the speedo was just fine. I posted that because he went from 225/75/16 to 33x12.5R15 or 29.1 to 32.5. His speedo is gonna be off by at least 6-7 mph.

I did not adjust the speedo yet. I will verify if its off or not. If its off is the best option to take it to the dealer and have them set it?

Thanks for the heads up!

Same when I replaced the factory 30's with 31's on my Tj

The factory is set at 30.75 (I think)

I wish I was not broke already from the rims and tires and I would get the procal! If any forum members live in Fort Worth, Dallas and would be willing to let me come by and use their procal for a few minutes to adjust my speedo, I would forever be in your debt. Message me if you can help me out on this one.

Thanks All!

Can't do that. The procal is locked to one Jeep at a time. If someone else lets you use it, they must first return their jeep to stock settings before it will work on yours.

x2. The ProCal and similar programmers are designed to prevent folks from being able to share them--otherwise whole groups of friends could buy just one. Once somebody uses it on a Jeep, the programmer remembers that Jeep's VIN number. It will then not operate on any other Jeep until it resets the first Jeep to its stock settings.

@cosmos - which lug nuts did we initially send you?
The shop guys put the stock lugs back on. It kind of tweaked me a bit as I paid the $45 for the installation kit. Brought it to the sales person attention and he was very apologetic. He said he would have them when I come back in for the spare and that he would help me on the price for set of 5 wheel locks.

DTD also sent me the wrong lugs when I ordered too. The thread size was wrong with the ones I received but they quickly sent out the correct set and allowed me to keep the other ones.

aahhh, so much better!

I wasn't sure about the wheels at first but I didn't want all black or all bling so I picked these as a compromise. Seeing them on I really like them now. No lift on it, planning on waiting til spring, but 3 weeks ago when I got it I said I was going to leave it stock. Nobody believed me, I guess they were right. Still have the stock spare on, waiting on some more lug nuts, but the guys at dtd have been very good about sending what I need.

they're 15x8 mb chaos 5 wheels with th 33/12.5-15 Duratracs. Type in your Jeep at Discount tire direct (mines a 2012 but had to put 2011) and it tells you which wheels will fit, I don't remember the specs because I saw a thread where they test fitted them on a Wrangler and it worked.
