You can't do stealies but many alloys will fit. I have an 07 with 15" MB Chaos 5 with a 19mm offset (about 4.25" back space I think) and I have yet to rub the fenders but then again it has not gone off road with it yet. Everything clears. 4Wheel Parts said the same thing to me and I proved them wrong. They just want to sell you bigger$$$ wheels and tires.

That guy doesn't have his info correct. You can put 15" alloys on a JK with no modification to the brake calipers. Here's a list of what does and does not fit.

Is anyone running 33x12.5xR15's with Black Rock Viper 900 wheels? (15x8)

I'm trying to decide between MB Chaos 5..... and Black Rock Viper 900's.
I like the looks of the Black Rock Viper 900's more..... but was hoping to talk to someone that already has them installed.

I'm fairly certain that DTD mentioned in a thread just a few days ago that they didn't think the Vipers would clear the calipers. Actually believe it was kjeeper10 that inquired about them.

(sad face)

Haven't found the answer yet.

I love those wheels. Just not going to give in to 17's
I wonder if I could just grind the calipers like some do?

Your Chaos wheels are 8" wide with a -19mm offset which makes the backspaceing 3.75"

Although we haven't test fit the 15" Viper on the JK I am very confident that it will rub the brakes because of the spoke design. This model in larger sizes has a tough time clearing other stock brake systems.

.

That sucks! I was really set on getting those wheels.
Let me know if you ever test fit the 15" Viper on the JK.
I'd like to be 100% sure, before I move onto something else

I really like the looks of the Black Rock Vipers, but I don't want to go with a 17" rim. After looking around in the forum, I found a couple guys with 17" Vipers. I want black rims, but not completely black. I really liked the 5-spoke design and machined face, It kinda sets off the black rims against the tires. I guess I'll keep looking......

I'll have to decide between 17" Vipers, or possibly MB Chaos 5's.
I think the Vipers look alot better, I'm really bummed.

I guess I'll keep looking......

Do your guys think a 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 setup will rub, if a flat fender fender kit such as the one from Poison Spyder Customs was installed?

Or maybe I need to reword the question, when offroading with no lift, where do the tires rub?

I'm kinda of torn, I would like not to lift my 2012, I just measured the 255/75r17 and they are 31 inches tall. Thinking about doing a 32x10.5x15 instead. But I think they will end up pretty close to the same height and with of the stock setup.

Thanks,
Ryan

My expectation would be that the flatties would prevent any rubbing. A 2" budget boost (basic spacer lift) would be easier/cheaper though.

Agree. Check out the 1.5 coils from Teraflex instead of flat fenders. Flats look a little odd on a non lifted jeep.

well, since my stock SRAs stink in the snow, the wife insisted I get some new tires. Just placed my order for THE COMBO 33" DTs on MB72s. I already got the old ones sold for $700, so its only going to be like $700 out of pocket. Should be here by Friday. W00T
