Any Word on extra tire noise coming off stock 17's with RS-A's?

And how about any power lose when getting on it?

Thanks!

I got my stock set up on Craigs List,, had a couple bites in 4 days.

Just added it to another near by city.

There is more noise but you have to compare the tread patterns...the duratrac is much more aggressive than the stock tire....no free lunch. I will say that the noise is not obnoxious IMO. I have 2010 Jk with 3:73's and auto...I noticed a slight decrease in power but you have to remember you are adding both weight and rolling resistance/width in addition to diameter...again, no free lunch but worth it IMO.

PA has tough enforcement about tires sticking out past the fenders, and 'the combo' will come out past the fenders. A few companies do make wider fenders

You know I never thought of the laws with my "package" on my JKU Sahara. Mine stick out a good amount. Am I going to be forced to get flares with coverage in PA!? I love the look for sure, I'll be pissed if I have to putt still unsold stockers on just to pass inspection. Anyone know the laws here in Pennsyltucky?

The rules only apply to vehicle registered in that state, PA can't make a NY vehicle conform to their standards so you can flaunt your fat tires all you want there.

Most states can enforce there m/v inspection/safety standards on foriegn states if the violation is deemed a serious enough safety violation for other motorists also traveling the same road. Comes down usually to Officer Discretion, which can greatly vary officer to officer and agency policies to agency policies. Remember, it is your responsibility to know the laws in the area in which your travelling, foriegn and domestic. Although rare, I have herd of out of state motorist getting safety violation tickets. A few of those violations have included extreme lifted vehicles and beadlock rims as I recall. It wouldnt surprise me if a fender flare violation could also be included if the right or wrong officer was dealing with it. Words of wisdom, politeness and respect go further with a better outcome of a ticket or not, then does arrogance and rudeness. Some Officers may also be enthusiasts as your self one day. Good luck out there.

pkmcd99, I understand that for extreme violations like no working lights on a vehicle or something crazy sure vehicle safety is paramount. I doubt a trooper would stop a vehicle for 1/2 of tire sticking out of the fenders if it is legal in the vehicle's registered state; unless you were living in PA and just kept the vehicle registered in NY. I used to live in VA for a while but had my car registered in MD but they still made me get a VA inspection sticker when they caught on to my ruse lol.

I can tell you from experience (im a cop) you are correct in most cases. However, certain circumstances, such as for example, a cruiser following a large out of state jeep with large over wide tires and debris is kicked up to a level that a windshield is cracked and hood is pepered it could happen. Again as I indicated, unlikely, but Officer discresion. Along with each particular instance could merrit a ticket. Just saying. And good luck out there.

I will sell you mine. Only 8K miles on em!

On another note, most of the 15" rims that DTD sells have a -19 offset (black rocks have -12).
Does anyone see any negative effects on wheel bearing life or driveability on slick roads due to changing the scrub radius of the front tires?
