They just did that deal over labor day.
$100 off 4 tires
$100 off 4 wheels
$60 off 4 duratracs
$100 off with tread lightly
$50 off with wrangler forum discount

I need my rebate cards to come in so I can afford more mods

Edit: Yes, I did try to claim all of the rebates after all. Even though the FAQ on goodyear rebate site says only one rebate per qualifying purchase, I called them and they told me that I can claim both the $60 GY Duratrac rebate and the $100 Tread Lightly GY rebate.

I have a question, cause it looks so hot with these wheels and tires...
I order 33x12,50x17 Cooper Discoverer STT and I get last week my 17x9 Mikey Thompson, do I need necessarily back spacing if I don't want to lift my JK right now?
There will not be some rubbing with this wheels setup?

If your wheels have at the most a 5.25" backspace you shouldn't have any rubbing. Ideally you'd want them to have a 4.5" backspace though.

They shouldn't rub unless you are fully flexed out on the trail or making a Uturn with some decent lean. If this bothers you, Install a Teraflex leveling kit or a mini lift and you'll have a little more room and a little more clearance on the trail. Let us know if we can help you with any Teraflex products, we are now selling them.

Love DTD's customer service!!!

I've had problems with techs not taking the time to line the lugs back up when using their power tools and I think its causing my vibrations at ~60mph. DTD is sending me some hub centric rings which should prevent the tires from being mounted off-center again.

Thanks DTD!

Hi Guys at Discoutn Tire Direct: Just an FYI.....I appreciate your contribution to this site so much and the high praise the readers have your service that when it came time to purchase my tire/wheel combo for my new 2013 JK Rubi last week, your company was the first on my list to call. Unfortunately the combo I was looking for included GY Duratech and Rugged Ridge Wheels and the agent said there had been a lot of calls for them but you don't sell them. So I ordered elsewhere. Have you considered setting up an arrangement with Rugged Ridge? Seems like we all could benefit fron having these great looking wheels available through your company.

I'm waiting for the next big promo...then I'll probably pull the trigger. I think I'm going to get MB Razors and Hankook ATMs. I figure I can bag up that combo for under $900 which will be an amazing setup for an amazing price.

Sorry to see we couldn't help you with this combo Bob. Rugged Ridge wheels is currently a brand we are unable to purchase. This may or may not change in the future but I'll certainly pass your comments along

Discount Tire Direct does not buy back wheels or tires but our local stores maybe able to work something out if you are purchasing new tires or wheels depending on their condition. Contact your local Discount Tire or America's Tire for details.

I'm trying to remember if they did a big promo during Black Friday last year. I can't remember. It is hard to wait... I keep kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on Labor Day, but I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted at that time. Now I'm pretty certain what I want but the only rebate is $60 bucks. I'm going to try and hold out a little longer. With a family of 5 money is tight and if I can save a couple hundred bucks it'll make a big difference.

Yep it's a common misconception that they are worth that because it's a $2K up grade wheel/tire package when purchasing a new jeep. The market is so overly flooded with these take offs that most are just glad to get rid of them.

With a little patience you can easily get 1000 for them. That's what I sold mine for a month or two ago and they didn't even have the tpms in them.

The rubi take offs can fetch a sale just about every time. You just have to price them and wait as others have mentioned. You have an advantage in selling them because they are mounted on the new wheels and some people might want that. I dunno.

I've offered numerous people here $900 for '13 rubi takeoffs and gotten absolutely no takers whatsoever. They seem to be pretty confident that they will fetch $1200-1500 for them. Maybe they will, but certainly not from me. I can get 5 brand new 265/70/17 duratracs delivered to my door for less than $1100 with full warranty and no worries. I can easily add 5 MB black wheels and add them to the tire purchase and get the whole package for around $1500. It's ridiculous to think I would want to pay the same or more for the stock rubi takeoffs that are CONSIDERABLY less capable tires and wheels than the duratrac combo and no warranty or guarantees that the seller didn't have balance issues or some other problem with their takeoffs which is why they took them off in the first place! My risk factor alone demands that I pay no more than $900 delivered for a full set of rubi takeoffs and that's WITH the TPMS. Some people just don't grasp that.

The fact that you or someone else may have gotten $1k or $1200 or whatever really only means that one person was willing to pay that much. It doesn't mean that, as a general rule, that's what the open market would support.

The stock wheels have poor backspacing. They're simply not a good choice for somebody who wants bigger tires. Many wrangler owners want bigger tires and therefore look to sell their stock wheels.

That means that the aftermarket is extremely small, and the supply should be fairly large. Add to that the fact that the dealer prices are heavily marked up as compared to a generic aftermarket wheel/tire set up, and you have your explanation why they should--as a general rule--go for much less than their original MSRP.

But that doesn't mean somebody who doesn't know any better won't find your ad on Craigslist right before he buys his Sport and won't run over to pick up your wheels/tires at a "discount" of "only" $1000 so the dealer can throw them on before he takes his jeep home.

There was a thread awhile ago where a guy claimed to have sold his arctic wheels/tires (same as Rubi take offs, but painted black) for $1700. I have no doubt that the suburbanite guy who paid that thought he was getting a bargain over dealer prices, and he's probably never heard of the word "backspacing."

So if you can afford to wait, go ahead and list them for $1000 or more. You're likely to get laughed at many times, but somebody will eventually fall off the turnip truck right next to your ad. But if you actually need to sell them quickly, $500 to $800 is more realistic.

7 Spoke Rare Wheels w/ TIRES- Stock From 2013 Jeep Wrangler BRAND NEW

I tried to explain to this guy that you can buy a complete set of aftermarket 15s and 33" tires from DTD for $1,400, but some guys just don't get it.

Yeah but those are the special super duper 7 spoke polished wheels!

This is a quick cursory search on my local CL for that exact combo. Even his price is way too high for this combo but as you can see, dime a dozen and worth F***-All.:

I Agree---Sorry

So all the arguments against 2013 Rubi tires and wheels at $1200 make sense----so I will stick at $1000 or give them to my son. Those who argue based on $1400 for a new 15inch duratrac combo with cheap wheels are valid but you are not comparing apples to apples. The BFG 255-17" tires alone are worth $1400 any most suburban wantabees with a JK Sport would be pleased with theiir performance----I used them on my previous JK 2007 Ruby in some really nasty stuff. The new Rubi wheels look OK---not bad---in fact the more you see them the better they look. I just liked the Rugged Ridge better-------by the way my new 17" tire and wheel combo apples to apples cost $2800 mounted with tpms. vs. the $1000 I am now asking for the the new 5 tire/wheel combo.

^don't forget though, if you've got the time, somebody might pick them up eventually at almost any price. You're not looking for some sort of generalized "market" price--you're just looking for what one guy will pay for them one time.

Duratracs tire rotation question...sorry if this was covered and I missed it.

When rotating the spare, what pattern do you use? How often, 5,000 miles or so?

I'm coming up to the 5k miles on my 33's and wanted to make sure I do a proper 5 tire rotation.

5,000 is a pretty standard milage for rotation. Make sure you torque your lug nuts to spec in a star pattern:

I use this pattern for rotation:
