What better way to.test them out then a rip around the snow covered yard?

Few observations:

Center caps for the tko... Is it SUPPOSED to have a 1/2 inch gap around the diameter of the cap? Like it doesn't sit flush against the wheel. I'm thinking of cutting off about 1/2 inch of each "finger" back there to get it flush. I'll get new bolts if I have to.

Balance is off. All good to about 45. 45-60 gets a front end shake. Not violent but I can see the steering wheel moving. At about 70 the whole jeep vibrates. This sucks a lot. And because I bought online I don't get free lifetime balancing. So I'm probably going to have to take it somewhere and see if they can balance it better.

You set-up looks great!

The 1/2" gap between the face of the wheel and the cap is normal. If you don't like this look the MB Chaos 5 center cap can be run on the TKO and fits flush. The cost per cap if you decide to go this route is $19.00 each.

If you are having a balance issue give our Consumer Affairs Department a call at 1.888.459.4080 option #2. We'll take care of you

The eBay $100.00 mail-in rebate ended on the 11/4 but the $60.00 Goodyear Rebate is valid until 12/31. Here's the link with more details.

All purchases through us mail order come standard with the manufacturers warranty. We also offer a non-prorated road hazard which is good for the life of the tire for an additional charge.

We road force balance all wheel and tire assemblies prior to shipment. If you are having an issue with the balance from us give our Consumer Affairs Department a call at 1.888.459.4080 option #2 and anyone of our sales agents would be happy to help.

Just noticed that 2 of my wheels don't have any.weights on them. Going to swap the spare for the front one with no weights and see if I get rid of my shake. If that works then I know the other one with no weights is also most likely out of whack . After I try that I'll give a call.

Thanks!

Probly threw the weights due to an incorrect attachment during balance.

I recant my previous statement. All wheels have weights. Much better light in my garage... Some of them were.put on the vehicle side of the.rim and I.couldn't see.them. still swapped the spare in to see if.I can isolate which wheel(s) it is

They're just wrong. Some 15" wheels don't fit, but the ones discussed in this thread obviously do. I have 15" Black Rock 909s. Fit perfectly. MB72s, Chaos 5, etc. all fit fine.

I apologize for the incorrect information you received. The 15x8 ET-19 Chaos 5 certainly works on the JK.

Opinions on either the MB72 vs Level 8 tracker?

I'm leaning towards the Level 8 but is there any reason to go over one or the other in terms of weight or other performance factors?

I like the look of the level 8's better but they probably do weigh more. You can tell in person they are meatier than the mb72

Exactly the feedback I was looking for. I also like the Level 8's but they are close enough that I will chose based on durability and weight.

Just my opinion, but I have seen a lot of mb72's here in Georgia on cars to vans to station wagons and the just look cheap to me. They are flat, no concave and not very thick.

Level 8s FTW. Look like 72s but are concave and have an awesome stance!

I doubt there is a weight difference, and if there is, it's negligible. Level 8s LOOK beefier. They are not any bigger. Still a 15x8. Both probably weigh in at about 17lbs.

Love my Level 8s!

I love the level 8 trackers. They have a Back Spacing is 3.32 inches. Which means they stick out further!!!

Which is exactly why most guys do not buy them. The MBs stick out almost too far as it is.. the Trackers are ridiculous. Talk about hard on joints, axle shafts, etc.

And it's funny that somebody said the MBs look "cheap" because honestly that is what I thought when I saw the Trackers. Something just doesn't look right about them. I think maybe it's the curved dish look, instead of the flat face. I dunno...

To each their own. That's what makes the world go 'round.

This is very true WXman. I plan on doing a 2.5 in lift on my 2dr Jk so having the wheels stick out more it makes it look better we only 33's.

I think what most people are describing as "cheap" is what I really like about the MB72's. I think they look simple and utilitarian, like my new Jeep(if it ever arrives). I think they look more like original WWII rims and not flashy like most modern wheels.

I'm sorry but original and utilitarian gets father and father away with each year. Cd, nav, and Bluetooth is far from a Willis, truth be told even a 2013 rubi owner with any sense worries about the rain when the top is down.

Absolutely. I didn't mean to suggest that the modern Wranglers are simple and utilitarian. Just that I would like to attempt to recreate that feeling/look wherever possible.

Will the Crager Soft 8 15x8 wheel work? It has a 4" backspace.

I guess I may be the only one on here that appreciates an old real jeep. My first car was a 76 jeep and I loved it. I will never buy another new one. A jeep is not supposed to be babied and pretty its supposed to be tough and used. Nav and Bluetooth and payments just isn't the way of the Willis. God bless America, and God bless the jeep.
