rubbing

I'm considering going with this set-up on my stock 2013 Sport 2-door (33 x 12.5 - 15 on MB TKOs -19 offset)... I'd rather not have to buy any lift or levelling kit. From what I've read, there will be some rubbing. Where will they rub and just how bad is it?

Only on full lock and just the front air dam. You can carve it down or take it off to avoid the issue altogether.

This is for anyone running "the combo"

I neglected to remove one of the stickers and some of the tape from my new tires, so I had a noisy first day out. The sound was like cards in a bike spoke, all that sound is gone now.

Now I have a faint ticking/clicking sound from right rear.
I have checked all torque.
I've read about ebrake ticking problems.

But, when looking over everything I noticed the clearance is very close (not my imagination) between the brake assembly and the wheel. Could the second row of balance weights be ticking on the caliper housing?

I thought it possible, but they look like they don't.

Just wondering if anyone with the combo noticed a faint tick when the wheel is turning.

If the weights weren't placed all the way forward on the wheel it is possible they are making contact with the brakes. I would jack up the rear and spin the assembly to see if they weights are indeed making contact.

A variation of the combo: 235/85/16 (about 31.75") on 16x8.5 MB 72s. I know they don't make 15" MB 72s anymore, but the 16"s do open some possibilities.

And if I may suggest another wheel that looks similar--better in some respects--to the MB 72: The Eagle Alloy 100 in 15 x 8:

And yes it does come in the 5x5 bolt pattern. See here:

My 15x8 Level 8 Trackers and 33x12.5 DuraTracs showed up today. My son and I put them on right after work. They look better then I thought they would. I'm so happy with how they look. Thanks Discount Tire!!!

I'll tack some pics tomorrow and post them up.

Why does it seem that most 15x8 wheels are the 'classic' design with circle cut outs?

Their are lots of other rims. I just like the "Classic" look better then the other rims I've seen.

Quick question without hijacking too much....I already have the combo with the trackers, and have been very happy, however, in the near future, I'd like to get 35s. Are there 16" Trackers that will take a 315 Duratrac (since those monkeys refuse to produce a 35x12.50x15) and work on the JK? I really love the Tracker's look and stance, and don't want to change/lose that.

Here's a pic in payment of the offending hijack...oh yea, DTD rules.

It performs flawlessly. I have thrown mud, rock, sand, snow, and 4200 (NJ to MOAB) of highway during the trip I just took, and they were without fault. I was worried about their strength when aired down, but I drove over some seriously sharp stuff, and had no issues. I am very happy with my original purchase, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I'm happy with my cooper ATPs from DTD, but I do prefer the beefy look of the duratracs. maybe next time

It also seems like the balancing troubles that kept me away the first time haven't been as prevalent, maybe GY got their act together.

13Jeep, do you have a lift at all with these tires & rims or any other adjustments made? Can you possibly share the link for them? This is exactly what I wanna put on mine. Thanks

I need to replace the tires on my 2009 JK and decided to go for 33" Duratracs on 15" Level 8 Trackers. But I'm not sure which of the following two will fit my stock JK: 15x8 5-127-30 or 15x8 5-127-19. Anybody out there that can help me? Thanks!

The 15x8 -19mm offset is the most common. The 15x8 -30mm offset will also work and will sit about 1/2" further out when compared to the -19mm offset.
