yeah! I found that it is much cheaper on amazon for both rugged ridge items though.

Love it just the way it looks now. Hope you don't change the rims for all black I keep seeing on this thread. The color with the rims looks really nice! But it's yours! Not mine. Lol. Heading to my dealer now for free oil change. Have a great day

Just saw in another thread I just posted in, an anvil JKU with a color matched top and standard black fenders. I'm not a fan of the color matched tops. I like the contrast with the black but in anvil it definitely works. Very sharp looking with color matched top and black fender flares.

Absolutely love the color. Not a day goes by when people ask me about it or compliment me on it.

Few thoughts:

Two months later: still love it.

ARB bumpers look good on JKUR's.

Duratrac's are super for my mixed needs.

Stock Rubi wheels look nice with the anvil color....grey mixes well.

Still getting compliments months later too.

Dirtly looks better than shiny....probably on all Jeeps.

Kexby Limited Co. » Tire Covers

Great service....it is heavy duty, not a vinyl sort of thing you typically see...so it does cost a bit more. Very happy with it...recovery gear pocket and some loops for trash bags in camp. Muddy tree savers go perfectly then you just spray it out....clever really.

Funny thing...at the dealer the service guys have come to the conclusion that black and anvil are the two best color matches for colored/painted hard tops...I'd have to agree. Saw an Amp'd...not as perfect. It must be super hard to get metal and plastic paints just right.

Now, if they only had an anvil soft top....

Is that awesome looking jeep sitting at a stock height or is it lifted?

Thanks! It looks like you got that pocket in Anvil (or pretty close). Did you have to custom spec that? That was what really attracted to the cover.

Thank you! Been fun...

AEV dualsport 2.5" lift with geometry conrrection kit and full bolt replacement...since picture ARB diff covers went on and an OME steering stabilizer went on with a dominion offorad relocation kit (I really like that guy's parts...dirt bags, jack stuff ....not sure if that violates the rules but it is just brilliant stuff).

Sides are ACE with the stock rubi rails. These rails are the best I've ever seen...been used to top end rover stuff too (rovertym engineering and terrafirma..both are amazingly good too....these ACE units are just the cat's meow).

Tires are 32.8" duratracs which, frankly, are way quieter than they look...amazing in rain too..

Lights are LED (phase 7's)

LightForce 270's are on the bumper...mixed near/far covers to allow both distant and close help on dirt roads...fog for now..have blue lenses for ice/snow that will likely get switched out soon.

Just dumb luck..up close it is more of an evergreen....but it looks good on the truck. They can do grey too. Probably could do anvil if they could find the fabric in that color...for a price. The owner is super nice and wants to figure out how to work with Jeeps. I don't have any financial connections with him at all...just was super nice to me as I did the tire cover custom with parts in all of his colors.

For the record, the whole rig is a lot dirtier now and I like it better with the dirt. Same was true of the rovers I had... Overlanding truck really that is also DD capable...amazingly fun and cannot wait for the soft top come spring.

That's my Great Dane, Venus next to the tires. She's 145 lbs and can drink from the sink by just leaning over it. I suppose that helps to scale the tower of rubber, no?

Plasti-dipped my grill, door hinges and pinch seam. Pretty straight forward and many how-to videos with tips and tricks on YouTube. There are various pics on my build thread if interested to see what it looks like with Anvil. Enjoy your new ride!

Hey MnJK,
Enjoyed your build thread and will be following. I laughed when you said the color of the pinch seam bothered you. It did me too and I had my first experience with plastidip yesterday. Although, I didn't go as high as you, still happy with the cleaner look.

Just picked up my brand new 2014 Anvil JKU a couple of days ago. Very excited! The color is amazing - even my wife and the kids like it.

Friday, I'll put on 35s (Nitto Trail Grapplers) and flat black Procomp wheels. I do understand that some people are a bit over the plain black for the wheels, but I still love the look - especially in combination with Anvil. Gives it a great military-style look.

Will also install the Teraflex 2.5" inch lift to give the 35s a bit more room to breathe.

Will post pictures after, or create a build thread. Here how it looks now - fresh from the lot and very innocent
