On road ride is just as good as stock with the TF spacer leveling kit. Offroad, a slight improvement with a little extra height and clearance for 33' tires. I ran that set up for a while and was happy with it.

Tereaflex 1.5 Performance Leveling Kit. It replaces the stock springs all together. It definitely noticeably improved the ride both on and off road. I would do it again if only for the improved ride. The amount of lift was exactly what I was looking for after install of the 285/75/16 (33x11x16) Duratracs. Completely happy with the setup. No, I absolutely do not wish I had 35's and a 4" lift.

They are Goodyear Duratracs, size is 275/70/18. Very happy with them so far.

For all of you running 285/70/17s on the stock wheels -- are you using spacers, and does any part of the tire stick out beyond the stock flares? If not, do you have full suspension articulation/turning without rubbing?

The reason that I ask is that I'm planning to get some new tires soon, however the Pennsylvania vehicle code prohibits wheel spacers, aftermarket flares wider than 3" (stock is OK regardless of width) and tires that protrude beyond the edge of the flares. I'm OK with the leveling kit.

Thanks!

On both my 08 Rubi with 285/70/17's and my current 13 with 275/70/18's I have 1.5" spacers with stock wheels and the tread ended up about flush with the outside edge of the flares. Doesn't stick out at all.

If you were to remove the spacers, would you get any rubbing on turns or flexing? Spacers are a no-no in PA. Although I'm confident that I could find a "friendly" inspection mechanic, I'd rather not have to go that route.

We talked thru PMs for more pictures of your rig. I got my TF Level kit today and now I'm onto looking at prices for tires. Is $255 a tire for 275/70/18 Duratracs a decent deal?

If not, anyone know a good tire site?

That's a good deal, even better than I got. Does that include shipping or is that extra?

On my '13 JKU MOAB Edition I did have some rubbing at full turning radius with the stock 17x7.5" rims with the backspace they have and 285/70R17s. I ended up buying new rims instead of spacers. They are not illegal in MA but they are frowned upon by most tire installer/sellers.

Since you cannot use spacers, perhaps you can use the washer trick that will limit the turning radius so you won't get that rub? It is mentioned in several posts.

Hmmm. Perhaps new wheels are in my future as well. What wheels are you running?

The rubbing is worse when the sway bar is disconnected and offroad in general. If you plan on going offroad at all, I'd highly suggest spacers or new wheels. I have 285/75/17s on stock wheels.

I'm running 285/70/17's on stock wheels with 1-1/2" spacers and when in full flex it sounds like I'm gonna tear the fenders off. I'll be having a new set of wheels installed by the weekend.

All if you're interested in a great price for tires and/or wheels, Jason from KrawlOff-Road.com has some great prices. I got my (5) Duratrac 305/70/16s mounted/balanced on MB72s for $1805 shipped, and he's great to work with. I wouldn't imagine it would be too far off that for 17s? $150 for spacers or $500 for rims?

Did you use wheel spacers with that setup or were they unnecessary? And did you replace the shocks or are they stock?

Looks good, and it looks like the tires don't extend past the flares. Perfect for what I'm looking for. Do you get any rubbing when turning or flexing?

Yep, its all in my signature. TeraFlex leveling kit, it already had 18/59 coils , and I added Rubicon shocks.

Had I stayed with the stock rims I likely would have need spacers. The aftermarket rims in the picture had less back space therefore pushed the tires out far enough. The lift kit doesn't raise the Jeep far enough to need aftermarket shocks, the stock ones work fine. Eventually I want to put on some Bilstein HD's or maybe some Ranch 9000XL's.

The tire price for 15" rims is where u save the money and 15" rims usually are under 500 shipped. For 4 of the ones I'm gettin is like 380$ or 5 for like 475
