Beauty Mark?

I didn't think much of it when I bought it, writing it off to a year sitting on the dealer lot, but have noticed a few 4d JKs with this same "beauty mark" on the left side in front of the windshield.... any one else have it?

Thats the infamus rust black hole from the factory. If you don't remove that pannel right away the jeep will rot away in a matter of days. Then after that your jeep will turn inside out!

J/k sorry I was board.

It's from not having the door straps secure. Whomever took the door straps off, forgot about it and opened the door too wide, causing the mirror to hit that spot.

Not really much you can do about it.

If you knew it was there, why didn't you have the dealer repair it before taking delivery?

^Bingo. Also, it happens. Not a big deal- kind of normal to see on people's rigs- Mark W.

Within a week of taking delivery of my 2000 caravan, somebody put a nice crease in the driver's side front fender with their door. That is the way I traded it into the dealer in 2007 on the jeep. Even had a nice wak-a-deer dent on the front with the hood bowed a little. They didn't give me any less for it. It was already not worth much. Just a lot of memories in it. Glad to be driving the jeep now. I'm sure this one will get lots of memories too. Hopefully skip the wak-a-deer experience on this one though.

Actually those put on a dent could possibly make the bullet hole look a little more realistic haha!

Somebody out there makes a diamond plate cowl armor that would take care of that little dent as well as keep any future dentage from occuring

I've been checking them out, they come in polished or black.
