Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and I got my beauty jk in this past June. I put a 2.5 in rock crawler lift with fox shocks in it so far. I am not putting 35's on the rig yet because winter in coming and I'd rather get them after. ANYHOW, Christmas is coming and I'm looking for a bumper, not a full bumper but a mid-sized one. I love the look of the PSC stingers especially the pro comp stinger but I'm trying to shy away from shaving my frame so I looked into the XRC smittybilt stinger. I know a lot of people are against smittybilt due to the lack of quality and think they are crap. What do you guys recommend? Do all of PSC's products require you to shave the frame? Post pics of your bumpers too! Thanks! (Also, money isn't a concern for the bumper)

The Barricade Trail Force HD Front Bumper is a good choice. They're really stout, utilize the factory fog lights and come compete with D-rings.

If anyone would like a quote or has any questions on them, just shoot me a PM!

Here's my bumper from e-autoGrill on eBay the bumper fit was excellent actually picked up the front and rear for a little over $700 shipped to my house absolutely great deal many people have been very impressed with them especially when I tell him how much I paid for the pair.

Yeah it's going to be the way that you did not want it's just an L shape with a flat piece that goes on the back. Although I will say I don't see how you would install it if it was like the hitch. I still feel pretty confident this is more than capable of towing a small trailer I wouldn't call a car but probably shouldn't do that anyway.

Have a Smittybilt XRC on the front and so far it's been great. It seems like they stepped up quality with this one but time will tell... I almost got the stinger, found one here in Vegas to look at but ended up with the XRC. As far as bumpers go, they both looked pretty stout.

I will say that I had the Smitty XRC rear bumper and ended up trading it out for the XRC Atlas which was a big upgrade. I would recommend anyone doing that should spend a bit more on the atlas, it's much easier to open, has jerry can holders, doesn't droop as much with a 37 on the tire carrier, etc...

That bumper looks great on there! I love the look with the KC lights mounted on the hoop.

Extreme Terrain Trail Force bumper on our '15 Unlimited Sahara. In my opinion they absolutely cannot be beat for the price. Brain-dead simple install and great fit and finish, plus their customer service is second to none (which is a rarity these days).
As a side note - we had an identical bumper on our 2013 Wrangler which was involved in a head-on collision (wife hit by drunk driver) resulting in the jeep being rolled over and totaled. The front of the jeep was resting on the "hoop" portion of the bumper, and the only damage done was some superficial scratching on the hoop and one of the light tabs was slightly bent. Hence our decision to throw another one of these on the replacement rig. Great product!!
I'm sorry to hear about the accident but that is a great testament to the strength of the bumper and the build quality. Thanks for posting your story. And nice rig!

Looks good, it's nice that the lights are integrated on that front bumper! I had to remove my fogs and add lights to the XRC.

The Smitty bumper you've shown for the rear was the one I had first... So I guess it was the SRC. Anyway, the wife couldn't open it too well with that short handle as it takes a bit of force with a small handle. I had no trouble of course but it's not going to be for everyone. We had the heaver 37" tire and wheel on there and it just seemed a bit too heavy for the carrier when bouncing around on the trail. We tried adjusting it a few times but no bueno. I'm sure it would even be fine for a 35"... but since we do off road, we decided to not push it.

Let us know how it works out... mine looked killer and I liked it otherwise.

I hemmed and hawed about the license plate holder and finally got paranoid about the quick disconnect types. I didn't want it to be quick disconnected in a parking lot or where ever. The cheapo plastic skid won't protect against any trail damage so waiting patiently for barricade...Although I did see where someone made the hanson skid work in the many pages of the forum..

I've been bugging Barricade about the front skid for a long time now! It's creeping on the list of new products being added to the site. We're getting closer!

Until then the Hanson Skid has made a lot of people happy so it's an option!

Stay tuned for the Barricade Skid!

the barricade skid is good up to a 09. 2010+ the crashbar has a different shape so a new plate is in the works.
