I was too chicken to pull the doors of my JK because there was a good chance of rain but I did for the doors of my CJ it was a nice day to drive around ended up no rain
The bolt that unscrews the doors from the hinges weren't even put back on. I just kept them in the trunk where the little special bolt holders are. Never put them back on the I can just slide the doors off without hassle (other than the doors weighing an awkward 75 pounds)
I found there are no good mirrors on the market when the doors are off. Tried motorcycle mirrors, Quadratec like stock mirrors and the goofy round ones nothing great.
These aren't the best but i bought the Rugged Ridge quick disconnect round mirror set, I think for around $40-$45 for both from amazon. The drivers side is serviceable, takes getting used to with the smaller viewing area. The passenger side kinda sucks, and it really takes another person sitting in the pass. seat to help adjust it for a chance to glimpse something in it. That's only if you need a passenger side mirror in your state. They work and I'm happy/legal going doorless!
