Yakima sayts to use the rain gutters for a cargo box. Anyone done that and not worried about weight?

No issues at all carrying snowboarding/skiing gear for 4 for the last 6 ski seasons.

I was debating getting the rain gutter mounts. Have you had anything else up there other than the cargo box? I'm thinking about using that setup for a kayak or two! Any thoughts?

I recently had 2- 11 ft paddle boards on the bars. Kayak shouldn't be any issues.

I would drive up to 80 mph without issue with the paddle boards & skybox mounted to the bars.
