Lift Kits

I live in San Diego and I recently purchased my first jeep, a wrangler sport JK 2014. I wanted to make it look like this wrangler in the picture. So I went to a well known place called Off Road Warehouse and showed them the picture. He told me that the wrangler in the picture had a 4in lift, and 35's with 20's, and the cost to lift it like that would be 10,000 dollars, that was his average price. So he gave me another alternative and its was to raise it 2ins and add 33's with 18's but he told me it was gonna cost me 6,000 dollars. So what I'm wondering now is what parts do i actually need for a 2in lift? and what price would I be looking at for those parts? And how much would it cost me for installations and all? Im just wondering what a 2 in lift needs?

That does not look like a 4" lift. Here is my 4" lift with 35s.

That picture looks like a 3in lift with 35s. You can get a good lift for right at a grand. Tires and wheels on the other hand will be around 2k. You can install the lift yourself if you're car savvy and with a friend. Also if the directions are accurate and detailed enough. Check out websites for lift kits and wheel and tire combos before going to a shop that will charge you the same amount that you paid for the parts. Pay 3k for lift and wheels/tires then pay another 2k+ to put it on??? Nah ill do it myself. More money to mod it more.

What are you going to use your jeep for? If your driving it 90% on the road do a 2 inch budget boost check teraflex out...

Go onto YouTube, then do a search for "teraflex", tons of good videos, like the link above. Check out their video about choosing a lift, choosing tires, and another covers the install of their 2.5" spring lift. Hope it helps!

Can you do me a big favor? Can you post the highest measurement from the ground to the top of your Jeep. I am looking at putting a 3 or 4" Teraflex lift with 35's like yours. I just want to make sure I can clear the garage which is 82".

My garage is 82" and then a 1/2" rubber seal and I don't hit. It looks like tallest part of soft top is 81".

Thanks, your jeep looks amazing. I'm thinking of installing the basic same setup. 8 arm 4" Teraflex with 35's.
