New Jeep picked up today!

Picked up my 2010 Wrangler Unlimited Sport today. Bought it from Ed Voyles in Marietta and dealt with Jeremy Cloud. Was pleased with Jeremy as he is a low pressure and straightforward guy. Got $3598 off MSRP (deal was $3k, but they have a $598 doc fee so he went down another $598 to take care of the doc fee). Then, for $900, he changed the stock wheels and tires for me to the Rubicon tires (BFG M/T 32") and I decided instead of the Rubicon 17" rims, to go with the rims off the "Mountain Edition" as I liked the matte look better than the chrome of the Rubicon. Now, just drove er up to the mountains and hope to check out some off road or at least dirt/gravel/trail type roads that I could not do with our sedan. I am not in love with its highway driving--engine feels gutless at speed when going up hill, but really not as bad as I had expected so far as downshifting goes. Still, I did not buy it for that, and am looking forward to trying it out in its natural element. Color is rescue green. Here is a quick (awful) cell phone pic with my lovely bride mugging for the camera.....Will try to post better ones soon....

Sounds awesome. Hope you get the picture upload thing figured out soon. Sounds like the dealer worked with you pretty well if he was changing parts out from some other jeeps on his lot. Yes, the engine is small but it performs well especially in the place that it was designed for and that is on the trail. We just had a similar discussion on this thread.

You're the only one that can see it because it's hosted on your computer. You need to upload your pictures to a free hosting site such as photobucket and then post a link here.

Congratulations on the new JK and welcome to the forum. I should warn you however the smile she has in that picture isn't going away. Mine's an '09 and I never walk past the front window without looking at it still.

My wife had a jeep before we got married--an old (85??) Jeep Cherokee in red with standard shift! Have not had a jeep since we sold hers in like 94 but am real glad to have one back in the family, so to speak. She did not fight me one bit on buying the jeep. Am I lucky or what?
