New wheels!

After much research and reading dozens of threads over 8 months....I am happy with the AEV Savegre, Goodyear Duratrac 285/70/17 and a 2 inch lift. What do you think?

Very nice!

I just ordered the RR Drakon's in Satin Black. A similar look/style to those wheels. Can't wait to put them on.

Thanks. I really did spend hours reading threads and opinions..I love these AEV wheels in matte black, Duratracs are clearly a Jeep fan favorite and 33" for 95% road driving is perfect. the 2" lift is not extreme, my wife and kids can still pile in but it's a definite bad-ass improvement. I hope this helps anyone else doing research as I did.

Have you ever carried a kayak on your rack? If so what brand is it? And how is it attached to your hardtop?

The roof rack is from Thule. It's a unique bracket that attaches on the rain guards and door jam. Not sure the weight rating but I use it for a Thule carrier (ski's, boots, sleeping bags etc...)

I was originally considering Pintlers, but the Savegres have been growing on me. I like them more and more with each install that I see. It seems that everyone has Pintlers. Now I just need to decide between argent and matte black for a Billet vehicle. I had my bumpers powdercoated to match the grey in the stock Rubicon wheels...so the argent might be a good choice...but I do like that matte black look.

I don't like them. Infact so much so, i would be willing to come trade you my stock wheels and tires next week as soon as my Jeep comes in. Since we are both in CT it should be easy to meet up and swap them.

Here's a plasti dip black on a billet. Gives you some idea of the color. The AEV wheels are much better looking.

I was leaning AEV Pintlers for months, but after looking at dozens and dozens of pics, the Savegre just seemed a better look for my color and the style I wanted. I am 110% satisfied.
