I bought my second Jeep last Monday and I am so happy with it so far. My first Jeep was a 1951 CJ-3A that my dad and I bought as a project car when I was 14 so this one is obviously quite different. It came set up the way it sits in the pics but I think it will be a great platform to build off of. I have already figured out that I need to get rid of the stock 3.21 rear end but that will have to wait for a while. In the mean time, little things like floor mats and better sound will be added. Anyway, just thought I would show some pics of me taking her down an old creek bed/road at my hunting property. It's nothing crazy but I did just buy it a week ago. Much more of this to come, I had a blast!

I also did some little stuff this weekend like paint the chrome antenna, add a roll bar mounted fire extinguisher and put together a basic recovery kit. I already have the bug pretty bad.

Thanks! I think it's a heck of a platform to build off of. There were some much tougher trails but I didn't bring a chain saw and there were trees down. Next time I go back I'll take one with me so I can get into the real fun stuff.

Sometimes you just come across those deals you can't pass up. Since the dealership I bought mine from was getting in the 2015's, they came off their asking price a lot on the one I bought.

I have a basic tool kit, a 12 volt air compressor, tow rope, a folding bow saw, hedge trimmers, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, a tarp, gloves, a packable rain parka, a hitch mounted tow hook, a few ratchet straps and some rope. I was able to pack most of that in the storage area and what didn't fit there fits in a bag I keep hidden under the back seat.

My ranch is pretty rough terrain and the chainsaw will need to come with me next time so that I can get to the really remote parts of it. They are all 70 year old logging roads so they have grown up a lot over time. That plus all the Oklahoma wind means that the road is covered up in dead fall trees right now.

They just make life easier when cutting down saplings and branches hanging over the trail. I drove it through the woods to get to my deer feeders last weekend. I cut all the smaller trees and branches in my way with them. A machete would work just fine for that, the trimmers are just less work and I already had them in my garage.

Thanks, I had a slight heart attack last night when Texas Tech jumped out to an early lead. Oh nice! I am in Tulsa, those pics were taken at my property on the North Canadian River just south of Henryetta, OK.
