Hello, I just did the same thing you are trying to do. Rubicon's don't have a higher spring rate. My sport s an my friends Rubicon both came with 14/56 springs. 14 being the front 56 being the rear. What you want are 18/59's or 19/60's. These can be found on eBay an come off of unlimited models depending on their factory package like towing or maxx tow. 19/60's can be ordered from jeep dealer but I would imagine they are really stiff. I did 18/59's with .75 pucks and ended with 2.25 front lift and 2.0 rear lift. You can expect about half inch of lift per spring number increase....so if you have 14's an move to 18's expect about 2inch minus settling. I love my setup and I'm capable of stuffing 35s with no problem. I didn't use Rubicon shocks due to them not being any longer. Hope this helps.

this does help a lot thank you. do you have a pic of your rig with the setup? i want to try and find the shocks with the springs since they are a better shock. did you change any other suspension components like sway bar links?

No problem glad to help when I can. I ended up with scorpion shock that are 3in longer then stock. I only have these pics on hand hope they can give you a better idea of what it'll look like. Its perfect for what I was going for. I did add 1.5 inch bumpstops in back an 1 inch in front. No rubbing at full stuff.

These photos don't have the 1inch stops up front. As you can see it put that 35 real close, but still didn't rub. I added the 1inch just to be safe.

Just did the swap with my 2012 sport, didn't mess with the springs though as the rubicon springs i got were 17 in the front and 60 in the rear, and it had 17 and 58. Does seem to ride better with the new shocks though. Have the springs for sale if you need some.

Seriously consider buying a proper 2-2.5" lift with all the extra pieces to do it properly. Look at a complete 2.5" kit and see what parts are required to change. Getting a 2" lift with unlimited springs on a 2 dr is just gonna get you handling issues in the end and those Rubi shocks will be 2" too short unless you use extensions.

Glad yours is fine. Just a suggestion my friend, nothing more. Check it out. If you got 2" lift your front and rear diffs are no longer centered in the frame rails, shocks are too short, roll center is out and swaybars are no longer parallel. A 2dr will be very harsh on 18/58 springs unless loaded down to near stock height.

Harsh is relative. Rubicon shocks were paired with the rubicon coils so they are matched just fine. I can stuff my 35 in the fender and the bumpstops just touch with 24" under the tire. As for axles centered, you may have some ground there but i have no issues taking on and off ramps at highway speeds. Also my stabilitrac and traction control do not come on during hard turns. I have experience with some jeeps that have had problems and mine clearly does not. So 2 to 2.5 inches can be done without issues and no you do not have to buy an expensive lift to get there. I have $70 dollars in mine. I go anywhere my wife goes on her $800 3 inch lift. There are alternatives is all im getting at.

No spacers right now front or rear. Pretty close to level. I do want 3/4 inch spacers but like mentioned i dont want to start to have issues. Bit its all trial and error with me. I enjoy trying this and that and see what works for me. Did you mean wheel or suspension spacers? Well either way i dont have any. Wheels are 16/8 with 35/12.50's. And thx

Its a very efficent way to get height. You may not get massive amounts of flex bit it gets the job done. If you want more flex look into arms and you are set for a lot less than the normal way to do things with a purchsed " full kit" as they say. Take it slow and make sure your toe is dialed in and ull be good. If you end up needing more caster thatll be an easy fix too.
