I think it looks fine as is. But I my next set of tires will be 37s. I only went with 35s this time around because I still have stock gears. Between now and when I need tires I'll regear and add lockers.

This is the only side view on lvl ground I could find. This was right after I put the tube fenders on and hadn't painted the wheel wells yet.

Comparing flats vs stock fenders

Here is a shot showing two Unlimiteds each with 35-inch tires and a 3.5 inch lift.

Mine (left) has flat fenders. The other (right) owned by a fellow member has stock fenders.

Can't be any more illustrative than that !

I chopped my factory fenders... Total cost.., $5 (just for spare fender clips), and 4 hours of time.

Super easy. You can do it with a regular Dremel, but I used a Dremel Multimax tool... works so much faster, and a sawzall to cut the front fender support bracket if you cut it back that far. If not then you don't need to cut those. Honestly you spend most of your time measuring them out. Takes 30 minutes to cut them once they are taped and pulled off.
