Looking for pics with 2.5" lift and stock 32s on JKUs. Ideally if anyone is running 1.5" wheel spacers with MTs on a JKUR 10A/X/HR, that would be ideal to see, mostly interested in front/rear views but all pics are welcomed!
Who's lift did you install? Here's my 07 Sahara jku.. 2.5 with 1.5 spacers
"...she's built sweet, she got everything that uncle John needs!" -MacThese are a couple from it's namesake only a few months after we took delivery. The lift is JKS 2" springs and Bilstein shocks. I'm about to FINALLY put adjustable track bars in (yes, 2 years later) to get the axles to locate correctly. I only did the lift to account for all the extra armor I added underneath and the winch on the front. I never had any intention of putting bigger tires on the Jeep, and technically don't need to as we've been on it's namesake a couple times now with zero issues, and I've not any current intention of doing anything harder than that trail. In a year or so, we're going to go ahead and start to build the machine to be a bit more of a trail machine, so I may go to 37s, but that's far enough off that I just bought another set of stock tires. These were just to give you what you asked for. If you'd like some more action oriented shots, let me know. We took a couple shots, dinged the doors, scuffed the wheels, and punched in all 4 corners of the bumpers, but much of that was b/c we had the doors in (I prefer the visibility of them not being there), my wife was just learning to spot, and we were in a hurry to get home as we were on a deadline to get to the baby who was too young to go with us the first time. The second time, we just ran out to Granite Slab sans doors and it was MUCH easier. Bottom line, yes the 35"+ tires look REALLY cool, but really aren't needed unless you are getting totally nuts. We tow a camper with ours, and I spend more time on the dirt bike, so supreme prowess isn't necessary.
Man! With those fenders it looks like 4.5" lift at least!2.5 inch lift I believe on completely stock wheels and tires
I suppose the breakover thing makes much more sense if you are "denting it on boulders" lol. Limos do have pretty sucky breakover. That is a good reason. Glad your install went well. As far as the unsprung 200 pounds, I had that when I was stock height too - I called it my boyfriend lol!!!!! But I dont have a winch or heavy bumpers yet in addition to said boyfriend. It's a fair question. I did it because I put at least 200+ lbs of additional SPRUNG weight on the chassis in the winch and armor. On the stock springs, I believe this would have sagged the suspension to the degree that we would have really dragged a lot on the Rubicon. I think I did the best thing.
I've checked, and my caster is still in spec, have zero drive line vibrations (so it didn't impact clocking of the axles), and toe was never impacted, so I'm good. Shoot, I'm only this weekend going to put in the adjustable track bars to re-center the axles. It didn't even move the steering wheel off center.
I also could have done this by carving out the fenders or that type of action, but I didn't feel like hacking up a new car (only denting it on boulders ), and the breakover angle would have been worse than stock without a mild lift.
Here's mine with an AEV 2.5" lift. The plan is to put bigger boots on this summer but I'm not in any great rush.
Here's a 3/4 view

and a side view. Taking the roof off did lift the tail a bit.
