saw one the other day on the lot as well. Kinda looked like battleship gray. Sat in it and poked around but not for me

I kinda like the silver colored wrangler, right next to it....
I like the Billet Silver one next to it myself but I am biased.

More specifically, the color is trash can grey, but "primer" works as well.

On another note: At the risk of sounding like a snob, I think it is weird to see Anvil colored jeeps without the 10A equipment as well. Either way, I hope you all enjoy the color. It looks great dirty or clean!

It's really too bad that Anvil isn't a metallic color.....

It's absolutely personal preference. Some don't like all the white and black "panda" effect my jeep has but it pops and Shes mine. Having a maroon jeep would drive me nuts. also the murdered out look that a lot of guys want where the tires wheels body window and top are all black with zero contrast is not appealing to me at all but I've yet to have one knock on my door to ask my approval. A lot of higher end exotic cars are starting to come in these less mainstream muted colors. As with any jeep, it will look better when it's not bone stock....

Someone else mentioned drab. We went from Crush, Dozer and Gecko to Anvil, Commando Green and Dune. Well dune isn't all that drab but what a change in marketing strategy.

Full Disclosure: I just brought home my Anvil Sport on Friday. I've loved the color since I first saw it on a 10a at a local lot.

I love the contrasting look with the black hard top and the black fenders. I'm of the option that the painted tops and fenders were just too much (to be fair, I don't like that look on any jeep)

Everyone that I've shown my Jeep to says they love it. I really think Jeep hit it out of the park with this color option.....it gives the look that Commando Green was supposed to do, but never could quite seem to capture with people (Not knocking Commandos, just making the point that the color never really seemed to take off with anyone other than hardcore Jeepers).

Whether you love or hate it, Anvil is going to be a popular color going forward.

Agreed, can't wait to get mine.

I want to differentiate mine from all the 10A's out there and trying to decide on wheels. Seen some 10A's modified with black wheels and the color looks good but wondering how it will look with silver or argent wheels.

Also trying to decide on an accent color other than red that will go with the Anvil.

I was out on the bike tonight and was riding behind a 10a. This color is so much better in person! And I definitely like it with the red accents! Also I normally prefer the black fenders and top. But in this color the 10a is a grand slam!

How about yellow or orange?

I don't think it's all that bad. There have been worse colors in the past.

I wish I'd see an Anvil, in person. We see a lot of Jeeps and yet not one Anvil. I almost bought a 10A sight unseen but it was sold the day I made an offer. I did order a JKUR but went back to Flame Red, color of my ex-LJ.

Unfortunately, this is one of those colors that looks terrible in pictures. In person, it's a totally different animal. Anvil is kinda like a reverse bikini model, they look great in pics but look like worn out lot lizards in person; the Anvil looks great in person but, looks like a dumpster in pictures.

I like the dumpster reference! It is the color of the Brute trashcan that inspired the jeep engineers after all. And they matched it pretty well! Love the color, but hope its not available for too long. As more folks see them in person, the more folks will want one. I don't want it to be too popular! I'm a little selfish...

I think it looks better in person...but it does have that blah tone like dune and CG. I still like it though.

I've thought about yellow and since it seems to have a blueish tint it would go well.

I really like Anvil as it the best of the subdued colors in my opinion. Nothing against the skittle colors (really like the Crush and Gecko) but sometimes its nice to not standout (like when your skipping out of work early to golf).

Here's one by me.

I think it looks a hell of a lot better at $25,000 than it did at $42,000...

Our lake neighbor just bought a 10A in Anvil and it is outstanding in person. Still looks like shit in pictures though.

I ordered an Anvil JKU sport about a month ago after seeing the color on a 10A earlier this year. After seeing all of the Anvil pictures on the forum, I was worried that I wouldn't like the color. I saw another Anvil 10A last week, and it looked great. Pics really don't do it justice. I can't wait to get mine this week hopefully.

Is all about personal preference, I love the Anvil color, and got black flares and hard top to make the contrast. I like that configuration the best

DUDE...I am right there with ya! It really looks like its going to be a really cool color. Back before I bought my YJ, I almost got a 2001 Sport in Impact Orange ...LOVE that color!!!!!

Dune is an interesting color, looks great all lifted and what not!

Some of these colors, especially Anvil, Commando Green, I think would look great in a matte finish.

Saw an Anvil 10A Unlimited yesterday on the road, first time I'd seen the color in person.

I liked it a lot. Pictures don't really do it much justice at all, it was darker than I expected it to be.
