I don't think its a girl color either; but I do know that its my wife's favorite of the current or soon to be offered possibilities.

I was thinking "Battleship Gray" until you mentioned the trash can color. Spot on! Maybe Jeep could put the BRUTE stencil on the hood like the Rubicon, and add a trashcan badge to the quarter panel. Interesting color, just not for me.

I like the old industrial appeal of that color, battleship gray

I gotta say, I still don't like the color. It looks like primer and Jeep forgot to put on the actual paint. It was fine on the 10A because it was so unique and had red accents but its so frumpy - yes, frumpy - on a regular Jeep.

Anyways im glad you guys are having fun that's what counts.

If I didn't aleady have Commando green I would definitely get Anvil. Makes the wrangler look that much more industrial and rugged.
Actually I just realized I used to paint my cj7 every year- the last time I painted it was flat olive drab and the time before very similar to Anvil. About 20 years ago. No wonder I like anvil and cg.

Grabs your photo and ran it thru my editer for color correct. That got rid of the bluish tints so common in the photos. I just saw one today and was surprised how true gray that anvil really is, the blue in the photos really sticks out once you see one in person.

Some of these pics of Anvil are deceptive. In the right light, the pics look great! I have seen a few 10A's with this color on the road, and it did not speak to me. I like the plain, purpose-driven color on a Sport. I would bet it looks good muddy!

X2. Wheels, tires, lift and armor makes any color look better.

It's a great color! Especially with black wheels. I'm hoping for delivery of mine around the beginning of October.

Cool the Anvil love thread still going strong
remember I had the popular mango color before, so was expecting a lackluster response when everyone saw me with the new Anvil color JK.

People love it in person. Most say the color looks Battleship gray

summery: do I miss mango---nope.
