Pinstriping?

So when I got my Jeep, I guess the dealership decided to add silver pinstriping to by Jeep Green Unlimited. Im not a fan, and Im trying to decide if I want to take it off. What do you guys think, I need some Jeepers opinions. I'll try and get a pic up here, but what do you think?

And if you think I remove it, what do you think the best way to do it is?

The only "pinstripping" you should have on a Jeep are ones you earn on the trail.

x2 on heat gun or blow dryer.. I'd probably use a plastic putty knife instead of a razor blade though. If you have any residue afterwards, use some goo-gone.

Don't use a razor blade, too easy to dig in.
As was said, heat gun and then some adhesive remover, I like 3M.

Your pinstriping at least goes straight back. I saw the striping on this Rubi over the weekend.. it goes straight across the fender under the hood, then comes down from the mirror to go back down the sides. I thought it was odd to see the stripes on a Rubi.

Amen to that, I did some damage on my car doing the same thing with a plastic widget, so be very careful! Once it's warm, the paint can be peeled back pretty easy, too!

Done, and Im so glad I did. It looks great, and was damn easy. Just heated it up with a heat gun, and fingernails were enough to get it started, after that just kept heating and peeling. Took about 30 minutes, then another 10 to wipe off any excess adhesive thanks to goo gone. That stuff is incredible. I figured Id be fighting with that adhesive for a while, but it came of with just a little goo gone and a towel. A fresh washing and its a new, much better looking heep. Thanks for the opinions, paid off!

make sure to wax any areas that you used the goo gone. It takes off layers of wax as well as adhesive.
Just a heads up.

I recently bought an 07 Commander. I told the dealership I wanted it off before they delivered it. I also had them remove the charge for the stripe ($350). I have striping on my YJ, but it is the factory Sahara stripes. I like my stripes on it. On your rig I think it would look best without the stripe.

I woudl be careful waxing a new car. I would give the paint the oppurtunity to cure properly.
