I actually just picked up 3 cans of black to do mine ! Not to sure how it will turn out but I'm sure they will look good . Would be nice to see a picture of them already done !
bought 4 cans and blacked out the grill as well. still had some left over. did 5 coats on each wheel and used a tooth pick to peel the center cap. Worked perfectly! I did some tape on the tire but not much. I removed the wheels to do the project and used washers in the lug nut holes. If you don't then when you tighten down the nut it will pull on the plasti dip. The pic was taken last november and I went through the winter (temps in the neg teens and lots of salt and snow). They still look like the day I sprayed the dip on. Very impressed with that product!
I really like the yellow Jeep in the center cap, how did you do it. I'm planning on plasti dipping my wheels this weekend and would love to have mine pink.
Done!...took about 3 1/2 cans...dipped the cowl insert, all the hinges and trail rated badge too...holds up very well to hand scrub and powerwashing...
Did my stock Sport S 17s the other day. Four coats on all five wheels about two cans. Did it with them on the jeep except the spare. Shoved paper towels in the slots to keep overspray of brake parts and blue taped the lugs.
The lights are Anzo 55w halogens that I bought on Craigslist; the bar is Mopar that I got on Amazon. Pretty happy with the results and didn't spend a bunch of money. 😎
Done mine about 6 months ago. Only thing is the coating came off the wheel weights... I think it needed a few more coats. My only tip would be to clean every inch very well before spraying.
