Removed the PlastiDip from my grill today

I think it looks much much better. What a pain in the rear end it was to remove...I definetly wont be doing that again.

Next time get 3m citrus based remover, spray on and it just melts away. Won't harm your paint either!

I did that too. It was a PITA. I took the grill off, brought it in the air-conditioned house and drank a beer while I did it.

I miss the black grill though.

How's the finish on the original paint after removal? Looks like the glossy finish held up. I imagine the Jeep logo was the biggest pain.

Thanks guys! I definetly like it better silver again. The paint held up awesome. I personally don't have any issues. As far the Jeep emblem goes? Theres still some around the emblem that I couldn't...or didn't have the patience to remove at the time. Im thinking I'll be replacing it with a black emblem anyways. But other than that, its pretty clean of PlastiDip. Its nice to see Im not the only one with the same problem lol.

If you miss it, why did you take it off?

soulchild - that doesn't look like the Mopar bull bar / grill bar. What brand/model did you attach to your Rubicon bumper?

It's the new Maximus-3 Stinger bar from maximus-3.com. They're only taking phone orders for this item.

Might be a silly question- What is the point on removing the plastidip? I like the look and might want to do it. Looking at any benefits of doing it other then the look? I think it would look amazeballs on a flame red 4 door.

Replacement grills are 190 at quadratec. Swap 'em back and forth as mood says.
