So, I've had the 37s on for a couple weeks now. My gas mileage was 18mpg with the stock rubi tires and no lift, now it's 15mpg. Not great, but not as bad as I had feared.

Added a pic of the spare and one other. Damn that thing looks big on there.

Do you have any kind of lift on your jeep? Any problems rubbing with those tires?

Did you have to put any lift on to fit then? If so what kind/size. Really like how they look.

Thank you. No lift just yet. I'm going to take a wait and see approach to that and see if I need it. No rub at full lock but I'm not sure about rubbing and articulation.

That said, I've been talking to a guy who had AEV put on his 2.5" lift and he loves it. I'm also researching the RK 1.5" Max Travel system. I have no plans on rock crawling so a smaller lift would suit me fine if I add one.

That's exactly the situation I'm in. I've heard that a leveling kit minimum is needed for 285's/33's but I've also heard other ppl say it's not totally necessary. I really want the 2.5 AEV or I've also heard teraflex has a good bang for your buck lift. Just don't want to put that much money into it at one time.

I love those wheels! Have you had any issues with balancing (shimmys/shakes)? I'm curious how well a bead lock wheel (even a DOT one) works on the highway for a daily driver. I hope you say they're awesome and perfect cuz I really want to get me some!!

The shop that did the balance mentioned that they took more weight to balance vs. a conventional wheel. I checked the weights and it was nothing horrendous! I typically drive slow but have had the Jeep up to 130 kmph without issue. No shakes or wobbles at all! These rims are heavy so it does change your braking. The shop put 28psi in them and I've checked them a few times and there has been no fluctuation in pressure so far.
