Gecko Green M416 trailer build:

I thought I would share a few pictures of my freshly restored M416 trailer that I've been working on to match my Gecko Jeep.

I purchased from Craigslist in mid restoration. The tub floor had to be replaced with a lot of additional holes needed repaired as well. That was a very time consuming job! With the help of a very good friend he was able to custom match Gecko Green in a single stage paint.

I'm hoping to take it to have the bed liner sprayed in within the next few weeks.

I won't post the pictures of the starting point unless there is something someone wants to see let me know and I'll post.

Hello All!! I am now a 1st time Wrangler owner after many years of liking them. But when I saw the Gecko green, I just had to get one. But I waited, found wranglerforum in the spring, and then realized you can't even order the color anymore!! So I searched and went back and forth on options (went from Sport to Sport S to Rubicon), all while the available stock whittled away. So I just bought (on Friday) what I think was the last new Gecko green JKU sport (base or S) in the country; there's still a few Saharas around. Bought from Bonham, TX and having the Jeep shipped to Plymouth, Michigan next week. The only 5 options on the Jeep are auto, 3.73, tow package, hardtop, and Alpine radio. Sad it doesn't have LSD, but I can add later. Already used the forum to buy the stock radio HU with Sirius (thanks laollis!!). I guess I am glad I went cheap so I can add bigger wheels/tires/lift later. Can't wait to get it. My 10 year old said it's the color of Luigi (from Mario Bros.). It's pretty base, but that's the fun of Wranglers...over time, you make them your own. I'll be looking at pics trying to decide what lift/tires/wheels to put on it. I'd love 35s, but trying to look somewhat "corporate" since I'll be driving it to work every day. Maybe depends on the wheels.

I love the trailer, i would like to see the restoration pictures. I think that is one cool project. Maybe your own thread would be in order.

I just got my very first Jeep a week and a half ago. I picked this up used, as I was pretty dead-set on the color and like most of you, could not find anything less than a Rubicon model left new. That was out of my budget, so used it was. I LOVE her so far. Like I said, this is my very first Jeep, so I don't have a clue what's on it and what's not. This is exactly how I bought it. Since it's used I would love to have a knowledgeable Jeep person give it a once over to make sure it's in good shape. I bought it from a dealer, so I assume they checked it out, but who knows how it was driven before I bought it. Her name is Envy...as in green with

Just found this thread, yea! I'm just getting started with mine, doing the easy stuff first and have more planned. I'm new to Jeeps, but always wanted one. I drove 2/3rds of the way across PA to get one I liked -- and it HAD to be Gecko green -- from Altoona to Allentown. On the way back, I couldn't get Eddie Murphy's voice out of my mind, and it stuck. "I'm Gumby, dambit!"

I passed one in my hometown yesterday that looked real nice! It was a 4door JKU with a color match hard spare tire cover with the tire marks and gecko on it! top was down and all 4 doors off! I Liked it! Still love my Commando Green 2 door more though! ;-) but I am a fan of green in general!

Mine is getting better day by day I picked up a set of Poison Spider Brawler rockers yesterday. I am waiting for my Poison Spider jk Brawler Lite Front Bumper with trail stinger d-ring mounts and fog light cutouts. I am currently running a 4" lift with adjustable UCA's and LCA's extended brake lines, Dynomax Evolution comp exhaust, Front Adams Drive shaft with spicer ujoints, pair of Rigid lights on the front, and a Viair OBA system compressor mounted under the hood and the 2.5 gallon tank under the back of the jeep, Procomp 315x12.5x17, procomp 17x9 rock crawler rims, and to top it off some nice dark tint. And a bunch of custom mods LOL. one pic is with the stock wheels on with the truck style top I have for it also.

There are tabs on the freedom panels you can fold down to let them sit on the soundbar. Secure with the screws and you'll have no problems.

No issues at all. Only way I run it. Keeps the direct sun off me to keep the Dallas weather a little cooler!
