Stock horn upgrade.

Does anyone know how many db the stock horn is on an 07x. And who knows of a good replacement. I don't want to have to run an air tank just for my horn, but want the loudest out there possible.

I'm interested in this too. The stock horn really sucks. I've almost been hit by tractor trailors and they haven't been able to hear my horn. It's not a masculinity thing or anything like that. It's just not safe. My dad's Dodge Caliber has the exact same horn. He tried some sort of Wolo replacement horn and it was even worse. I'd like an air horn that had a built in compressor.

It's probably 110 or 115 db.

If you use a fuse/harness/relay, mount this sucker; it's 139 db. Every 10 db doubles the loudness. Don't blame me if your ears bleed.

I've got a "Raging Bull" aux horn in my JK and I'm not sure what the DB level is, but

It sounds about 3 times as loud as the stocker

So it's NOTICEABLE !!

I htink mine is about 4db. I went out on the hunting trsail and had to go through some puddles, now my horn sounds like a goat choking on a stick. I took a look at it but I can't find anything clogging it.

i put these on all of our vehicles. loud as hell, and a nice deeper tone. not so hugh pitched and annoying. instal was easy as hell, just ran the power line from the original horn to the positive connector on the compressor, and the ground to where ever i can get it to that works. only thing you need that the kit does not include is some wire to make the connections and connectors(i think they are blade connectors? not to sure, i just know i had a bunch of them in my parts bin.)

I dont know what kind of horn the 07 has, but my '10 came stock with a low note Fiamm. I just so happened to have a high note Fiamm laying around. I made a new bracket and made a double "Y" wiring harness so I could just plug into the factory clips. Sounds much better. Not an air horn blast, but definately gets attention. It was my first mod, after a week of ownership.

That Stebel Nautilus is a nice horn, I have one on my motorcycle, but considering all the room under the hood, why not go big?

Once you have an on board air system, you're on your way to adding air lockers!!!!

Here is my install. It's the full air horn sound without the tank. Two small on demand compressors (seen in the battery compartment) to power the dual trumpets... Yet it fits (barely) into my engine bay to stay dry. Then just a relay & an interior switch (so I can still use my stock horn if I need to).

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but did you need any other wiring or brackets to mount this horn? If so what did you need and did you order it from the site?
