Such a great thread! Just something so classic about the proportions of the 2dr. And for a DD I love the shorter length for parking in the city. This was about 10 days after getting it new, broke it in on some trails in the UP of Michigan.

Nothing like a dirty topless 2-door!

^^^I agree, can't beat a 2 door with the top and doors off...something not right about 4doors, it just drives heavier and costs more...i put my family in our Lexus when we need to go somewhere...this is for me!

Is that a different 'RUBICON' decal on your hood. It looks like three dimensional lettering. I like it.

I'll officially be a part of this thread as soon as I receive my Dune Moab

I know, it needs coil overs, front & rear stretch and some long arms. Working on it.

Really? I want a 4.5" lift and 37's but I've been under the impression that such a big lift and large tires would make for terrible on-road ride & handling.

How high is your lift and how is it as a daily driver, on the freeway, etc?

It's 3.5" of lift on mine and the impression should be you can make it terrible on road ride. Mine drives pretty exceptional on the road, with the roll centers being accounted for, drag link flipped and the ram..it's quite pleasant on the highway.

It's a daily driver as in my only vehicle with insurance on it to drive it daily. If it's a 3 hour drive to the off road park, hour freeway ride to Fort Worth, etc..it's all on 37s, beadlocks, etc.

Great to know that it's possible to build a monster rig which still drives well on the road & freeway and doesn't shimmy and bounce around all over the place. Sounds like you know exactly how to do it. I may have to hunt you down when the time comes
