My question is... What do they need a winch for, on a race track?

not sure what you guys are talking about, that is awesome!

and the winch is mounted to the jeep instead of the trailer so it can pull ITSELF in instead of being pulled onto the trailer more self reliant like it should be

and to me that looks realllllly similar to the honda element drift suv, supercharged V6 with rear wheel drive... lol

I think that SRT6 Wrangler was an April Fool's joke or something a few years ago.

Can you even drift in a four-wheel drive?

I'm fairly certain that this was in JP magazine a year or three ago in their APRIL issue. So no idea why it would appear on that Aussie site. It's not a real photo

Quote:
The new (April 2007) JP Magazine is reporting that a Wrangler SRT6 will be produced with a 4.0L supercharged V-6. The engine will make 415hp and 410 lb-ft of torque with 7.5 psi of boost. The front will have a Dana 44 and the rear will be a hybrid Dana 60. The suspension will also be lowered. Now I could not believe it when I read it and I don't know if this is the real deal or not but it is definitely big news whether you like it or not.
EDIT: And once again, I didn't read all the comments before posting. Hilldweller has a good memory, which is surprising given his condition.

That's funny!

I was all "it's obviously photoshopped, you can tell the tires aren't planted right, and that smoke is fake, and the perspective is just off..."

I didn't even notice that it's DWOAD. (drifting without a driver).

But Lexus does actually have a prototype system that drives the car for you.
Gee, what fun that would be.
