It may look similar to some yet it looks very different to me. Much busier and looks like something I would see on a pimp mobile or in the hood. Nothing personal meant by that, just my observation.
It doesn't appear KMC is making these with the Wrangler bolt pattern anymore , so this option is out for me anyway. I guess not many ppl like them if they stopped producing these...rockstars it is. Thanks for your feedback all.
IMHO. I think the design is just to "Busy". too much going on and it makes it look gaudy or Bling.
When you see the picture your eyes go straight to the wheels instead of presenting the vehicle as a whole. Makes the Jeep more of an after thought.
I think if those were 16 or 17 inch wheels it would be fine. Too big of a wheel and so you get less rubber showing, then you combine that with a non aggressive tread and it just all adds up to some of the above comments. I think if it had more aggressive tires it would look fine.
So I think I've decided on the HD monster wheels in either 17 or 18 inch. What would you all recommend for tire size that will not affect mileage to greatly? Thinking of going with the Duratrac.

What model do you have? Sahara or Rubicon/Sport? Stock wheels sized vary and that may factor in your decision. Personally, I think 18" wheels show too much wheel so I vote 17".
So conclusion to my wheel story is DIA alloy Nomads. 18x8.5. Using my stock duellers for a bit then will move to a 275 65 Duratrac most likely. Thanks again for for your feedback.

OP: those first wheels may look decent as a 17 or 16-inch rim.
As someone already said: bling on a truck usually involves too much chrome or too large wheels.
Trucks are supposed to be tough, and LOTS of rubber help look the part.
A Wrangler with large wheels and little rubber looks like a ricer who wants to make it into the big leagues but doesn't know how to play the game. :mooning:
It's truly all about your (OP) taste/want/like. And that taste/want/like may change in time. Take the time to really find what you're looking for, as rims and tires aren't a small investment. Buyer's remorse sucks when it comes to rims/tires--you don't want that.
When I got my jeep, I went with 20" rims on 35" tires. They rode fine, and since I do a lot of highway driving, had no issue with them. But recently, I switched to 17" rims and 37's, and love the ride, stance, and proportion to my 4-door jk. As a reference, I have a 4" lift.
Pics of the 20s and 35s, followed by a pic of the 17s and 37s. Trouble posting 2 pics at a time, so will be in 2 separate posts.
