Why it is hard to find a yellow and flame red?

I have been searching for 2009 Yellow for awhile now but no Jeep dealer in Norther CA could find one for me then I gave up when they discontinue yellow for 2010 model. I had to settle for a flame red which is my second best color, but it was difficult too. Today they found one in Sacramento and I had to grasp it. Because it is hard to find, they know they did not have much to negotiate the price.

I saw many black and dark red sitting in the lots but not red flame or other light colors. I am puzzled because I saw every time they advertise - even on the brochure they use the Yellow and Flame Red. Why don't they make a lot of them then? Do they make them rare on purpose or yellow and flame red only look attractive but it is hard to sell or resell? Of course as you can see. it is a really newbie question. I hope I posted in the right place.

Hahaha, that might be the case but then why they always advertise in light color or it is just rare in California?

All of my Jeep buddies have dark Jeeps. Except one, a young girl, she has a light red Jeep.

Bright colors are eye-catching. It is possible, that the lighter colored Jeeps are used in ads to grab attention, but that in actual sales, darker colors move faster. Dunno for sure, mine is Black though, and the only other color I was really interested in was a Dark Green that I saw.

I had a similar experience on the East coast. I wanted, and eventually got, a flame red unimited rubicon (2010). I found that a lot of the dealers kept pushing the ruby rock red. Every other jeep out here is seems to be silver- I love my flame red jeep!

I originally wanted a yellow but I found a red first and fell in love. I don't know why they would discontinue the yellow though I thought it looked great. Yellows are hard to find, in fact, I haven't really seen any on the road either.

I hate to point this out, but you're half wrong. Yellow on anything but a Jeep doesn't mix.

I normally hate yellow cars, but love my Yellow Jeep. It's like a big happy face, which is what I have each time I drive it.

I thought they were more common. There's 3 in my neighborhood.

I also had a problem finding a flame red Jeep, they found one in Indiana with a lot of the options I wanted and they went and got it. I feel I got a good deal with all incentives I got $4100 off MSRP and they gave me exactly what I told them I needed for my Trade-In to do the deal. I have had the Jeep 2 months and love it, also this is a great site do not post much but check it out regularly.

if you can hang on, wait until spring. it seems to me that they put the yellow ones out closer to spring. i got blue jeeps two different times in jan/feb and then they put the yellow back in the line-up.

I found my Yellow Jeep, by LUCK! Out of four the Dealer had listed on their Web Inventory, I got the LAST ONE on their lot! Of the four listed, it's the one that had the Packages I wanted.

Cheers!

Hey Blackbeard, I like the Wrangler emblem on the hood. The way the letters look is pretty cool. Where did you find them? I'm assuming it's on the other side too...

Thanks!

Thanks!

Yes, it's the same on both sides. I wanted WRANGLER added to my hood, and he had this font available, which I really liked!

I had a local Car Detailer put them on for me. He does a lot of the Dealership Autos in a few surrounding cities. His brother painted my bike a few years back, and when I found out he does Pinstriping/Decals, etc., I just kept his number handy.

Cheers!

I had to order my flame red 10 Rubi and it was worth it. Blackbeard's wrangler lettering is unique and cool. If mine didn't say Rubicon I would definately like something like that.

Doesn't the red and yellow dyes cause cancer? Oh, never mind, that's M&M's. Sorry.
