It was a chain, Econo Paint. I got the top level with clear coat, and had a couple of door dings and some hail damage on the hood repaired. It ran a little over $800.
Here is the before pic...It actually looks pretty good in this photo. The pic is deceiving, the clear was failing in several places on the hood and cowl, and overall it was faded out. There were numerous hail damage dings on the hood, as well as a couple of dime sized rust spots on the driver's fender. Since it was color change, they painted everything except the firewall, inner window frame, and tub floor (which we are doing Herculiner in the future).
We removed the soft top, brake lights, mirrors, headlight trim rings, spare tire carrier, etc. That's about it. I'm happy with the finished product and the price. Time will tell how it holds up, but the paint has a 3 year warranty.
Pictures hid a multitude of sins of course but it sure looks like you did OK. I was going to paint mine myself this Winter but if I can find someone to do it for $800 I'll be all over it! Congrats!
I am trying to work a deal to get mine completely done at the body shop currently repairing it. They are already doing half of it under insurance. Yours turned out really nice.
