Don't look back.......Sell em on E-bay to someone who does not know better.
I am almost disappointed that my TJ already had after market bumpers (besides the fact that I would not have gotten tube bumpers) so I did not have the honor of removing the Jugs. I think that should be a right of passage for TJ owners.....and I missed out
Don't throw those front bumper thingies away, if you get an aftermarket bumper with shackle mounts they can be fitted over the shackle mounts and duct taped in place in the event you want or need to push someone without punching holes in their rear plastic facia. No. don't ask....
did you buy replacement end caps? you can't even tell from the front. i just took the plastic jugs off with no replacement. looks better that way. as for the plastic blocks, i say leave em on. i hardly notice mine.
I took off front and back and replaced with the caps. I like the back off better, even though I agree they probably offer some protection. I think it looks better when I can see the rear of the tires without the jugs.
I'm not a fan of the plastic blocks. I do like the rubber jugs in the front incase I have to push someone. Next Week I'll be welding all of the wholes in the front bumper. I'm going to cut the ends at an angle and weld it shut with steel plates, sand it down, clean it with mineral spirits, primer it and paint it Satin Black .......about 8 coats.unk:
